Chapter 13: Chapter 13 What lies beneath the volcano
The ship now capable of travel to places no mortal man could dream of going was heading down a stream of lava to a volcano. The crew was astonished that they could make it through such a harsh environment. The stream of lava was starting to get thinner as they got further, soon it was too thin for the ship to get through and so they had to halt the ship. Aaron grabbed Jacky who was still residing in his box quietly. "The ship stays here for now I will journey on ahead and retrieve what I need" Aaron commanded as the pirates hoisted down the anchor.
Aaron left the ship with Jacky, this time the temple was not in plain site. "So which way do we go now?" asked Jacky as he awoke from slumber. "The temple here was consumed by the volcano however its interior remains the same, simply put we just need to enter the volcano" replied Aaron as he held his hand towards the volcano. Suddenly a gush of water surrounded the volcano dissipating the lava as it revealed an entrance into a lost temple. "It's time" said Aaron as they approached the inside of the temple. Here the walls were covered in charcoal and rock and the atmosphere here was made up of magma, the environment around them got warmer as they approached further in. The temple showed no signs of life apart from dragons who had been reduced to mere bones and scales. "Aaron use your power and send that to Jonathan with a note saying from Jacky and Aaron" Commanded Jacky as he looked upon the dragon remains. "Good call" replied Aaron as the dragon remains dematerialized.
Approaching the inner chamber they saw something that shocked them deeply, it was ancient ruins. Though they were not skilled at reading them they managed to decipher 'Blades of ancestors will lead to evolution of man to ascended beast'. Neither of them could figure out what it meant so went on further eventually they reached the gem. Aaron did as he had before and brought life back to the gem. Soon after the two of them headed back to the ship.
Once they had got to the ship the crew was nowhere to be found. Suddenly Jacky and Aaron noticed a cloaked figure shrouded in darkness, "So it is true you have come to this dimension to try and thwart us yet again, fear not I unlike the others don't desire survival im just here to watch fights go down" said the figure in a rough unpleasant voice. "Which is why you're the worst of them" replied Jacky in a neutral voice. The figure suddenly grew wings both were different one was made of black feathers the other was that of a demon, whatever it was flew away in a second. The crew was dealt with by it and was not coming back.
"We have no time to waste and cannot sacrifice anymore lives to restoring ourselves to maximum power" said Aaron angered by what just happened. "I know but don't lose your cool, speaking of which it's time to get the ice gem" Jacky said calmly. Aaron simply nodded and then said "Well get inside the ship, the ice world where the temple resides can be accessed from here believe it or not by travelling in the magma under the volcano we can reach it in a second with my powers." Both of them got inside the captain's quarters as the ship automatically set off under the magma suddenly light emitted from front of them as a
portal opened up to the ice biome.
