Chapter 8: Chapter 8 Awakening to a new time
"I will explain from the very beginning it all started 8 years ago as you have probably realized last descendant in fact it's probably better I tell this tale from the start so everyone is up at speed. As Jacky has said the weapon you now possess was once wielded by Jack there was once a time when a war was being fought between the two beings. The humans and Shinigami" said Aaron as he raised the gravity of his tone to emphasize the situation. "Shinigami, but they're myths, fairy tales, aren't they?" Asked a recovering Ava as she interrupted Aaron. "Ahem no interruptions please, anyways to the world today they are myths since we had won the war or so we thought... Anyways during the war there were three warriors who excelled in combat against the Shinigami me, Jacky and Jonathan. Us three wielded objects of our own making Jacky using the scythe of his artificial elements practically unbeatable with its full potential unleashed, me using this necklace I wear to alter time space itself essentially granting me god like powers and Jonathan wielding his mirror of total control allowing him to rise an army within seconds create infinite structures with minimal effort, our powers were that of gods and still are so at the time we had to make a journey to become immortal it was the only way we would be able to handle the strain of this power. As well as us there was the resistance who fought against the Shinigami, the reason the Shinigami had waged war against us was due to their world dying and they tried to conquer ours for a new home. With our powers against the few Shinigami who survived the epidemic in their world the war was essentially won. But one day a Shinigami came with an item of death beyond any other, the box that Jack is currently in he had tricked a soldier named Arthur into betraying us and becoming a Shinigami. What happened next was the battle between him and Jacky in which Jacky won or so we thought, anyways as a cost Jacky had to be put in the box and hidden away in his final resting place with the weapon. After this battle the world returned into a peaceful place, however their remained the Shinigami who survived to this very day there is an alliance who fight against them in fact your parents Jack they fought against them and died in battle this is the truth of what happened to them. Jonathan took you to the orphanage to keep you safe from the Shinigami however 8 years ago apparently an event took place in which Jonathan had to retrieve you and it seems that sister had also betrayed us and joined them. That is what happened." Aaron told everyone has spent his time making sure that everything was understood by them.
"So, if you what you said is true then how can I handle this weapon?" Asked Jack as he started to take a fearful look towards his gauntlets. "Fear not, since you are of my bloodline you inherit part of the immortality ability that lets you handle the weapons" replied Jacky as he tried to calm down Jack. "Well now we're all up to most of this why did what happened today even happen and what happens now?" Asked Ava as she held onto Jack fearing the near future. "Well it seems after over one hundred years the Shinigami are aggressively responding, Jacky as you can see my necklace is almost drained of power this is because the Shinigami once known as Arthur came to me months ago and used majority of its powers to create a bridge between space time and created a new timeline one where the resistance never existed. Fortunately, I was able to alter this timeline some form of opposing side existed and so I can create my own bridge between space time to enter this era. But if I do this my powers will be lost and will take too long to recharge so I cannot do this alone I need you and the boy who now wields your power to join me in this quest to make sure those Shinigami never get what they want." Replied Aaron as he put on a worried face. "Listen I don't want them to win this war we have been fighting to date but I can't force the boy to join us it's not my place to take judgement on his life, he has been dragged into enough" replied Jacky as he adopted a more angered tone. "What happens if we don't do this?" Asked Jack. "The result of two opposite timeline could result in a total space time collapse and a result only one timeline can remain" replied Aaron in a depressive state. "If it means our world then I'll do it" Jack replied confidently as everyone got shocked look on their faces.
"If Jack goes then I go too" replied Ava. Jack looked at her puzzled at what she said, she stared right back at him and said "I am not losing you saved my life so I will make sure nothing happens to you and that is a promise" as she held both of Jack's hands tightly. "Are you sure you could die?" Asked Jacky as he intensely stared at them worrying about them making a mistake in taking this decision. "Our worlds have been shaking to a point of no return since we fell and if we don't do this we all die, as well as that this maybe the only way for me to find Jonathan and Theo if they are still alive" said Jack as he gathered his resolve. "Well it seems we are all set, let me explain our mission firstly by looking at the box Jacky is trapped in you can tell it is incomplete the when he was trapped in the box parts of it were separated and from my knowledge they were recently scattered across this new timeline in hopes that Jack would never be whole again. To be straight with you we need to rebuild the box by finding the parts after that the war begins. Girl when I resurrected you I had transferred a power to you per say it transformed you into something I call a lightning knight it is an experimental power that allows you to control lightning in anyways possible and you there boy I have given you total energy control essentially allowing you control energy power in any way you desire. These new powers were designed by me to enhance soldiers in the war though I never got a chance to exhibit them they will come of great use now." Aaron told everyone as he made sure they all were prepared for what happens next.
"Well I guess we're all sorted for that as well as that I have my remaining power and the power I will obtain across this journey" said Jacky as he smiled confidently. "Remember once I create the bridge in time space it will be an unpredictable amount of time for as to when I can use any power again so we must not fail this" said Aaron as he prepared to open the portal. From Aaron's necklace came out an energy blade and he tore a hole in the continuum of space time "Now before it closes" yelled Aaron as they all ran through the portal. They awoke to see themselves in the stellar mansion restored however this was not the time they were from they were in 1806.
