Chapter 29: Tracking
In the cave, there was no sign of Cecily.
Thinking of the scorch marks in the cave, Will felt panic, so far, she was the only person he could trust.
Not that many people would let him live after realizing his status.
Although he thinks she used some sort of charm on him to get him to trust her.
The wind howled at the cave entrance as Will got lost in thought, he looked at the cave entrance as a look of worry could be seen in his eyes.
Sighing, he started to walk out of the cave.
As he started to walk out of the cave, he worried she could have been kidnapped by her sect's enemies, maybe to be used as a hostage, or they might just kill her.
If it was to kill her, wouldn't they have just left her body here?
So the only option is that it's to use her as a hostage.
After resting for a short minute, he started looking for their traces, after looking for a while, he noticed some traces on the outside of the entrance.
The traces looked as if someone used a powerful tool to penetrate the surface of the rocks, although the traces where in the shape of hands!
There were wisps of energy flowing out of the indents!
Will was shocked as he looked closer.
The traces showed that they didn't enter and leave by climbing the wall, instead they went around the mountain to enter the cave from the side.
Shocked, Will looked at the side of the cave where they went around the mountain, the difficulty in going around the mountain seems much harder than climbing straight up.
It was a steep drop, and there were hardly any footholds!
Bracing himself, he grabbed onto the cave entrance as he winced in pain, by following the traces he could find, he started to search for Cecily's whereabouts.
The process of climbing around the mountain took an hour until he found more larger traces.
Footprints, hand prints, they could be seen pressed into the rock all heading to a certain direction.
While climbing, he had to go through more sliding, more jumping, and had to deal with resisting the high altitude winds that kept trying to toss him to his death.
After an hour he ran into some still glowing coals, allowing him to feel a sense of ease.
The coals meant that they were fairly close.
After taking a breather, Will left and continued to follow their traces, while enduring the high altitude winds.
In this world, Will will not have many people to enjoy living with.
So he was very worried about her well-being.
Even after knowing his status in the world, she didn't try to kill him, plus, she is able to help him gather resources, so why would he allow her to be kidnapped?
So he resolved himself, even though he is lacking in physical strength, he could still save her!
He just needs to figure out a way!
A rundown of the cultivation for melee fighters, when the ranks are mentioned, it isn't including the individual's mana capacity or talent in using mana.
Those with a high mana capacity and talent in using mana can increase their strength in the current realm even further than just pure physical strength.
How much though?
Eh, it depends on their physical capabilities.
It all comes down to talent.

The whole reason I reduced my release rate was to make longer chapters with a higher quality.
I promise, the next chapters won't have this issue anymore.
