"Why did you kill him? Don't get me wrong I would have done the same, but you who saved someone only to kill him in the end, it feels weird." The old man asked Ed while they were heading out of the hideout. They could see some of the slaves that were saved running away in the distance. While some others went inside the hideout to look for any leftover treasures.
"Because he was red," Ed's answer left the old man stupefied. He had no idea about Ed's Map, so he couldn't understand what was said. Ed continued and cleared things for him.
"He tried to kill me, his savior. Imagine what he would do to others." The old man was listening keenly to Ed's words. "Well to be honest if he went his way I wouldn't have done anything to him, but since he chose to hurt I wasn't going to let it slip. I'm not a hero so don't say I could have helped him become a better man or anything like that. I have my principles and I live by them. Whether my actions, which are defined by my principles, qualify as justice or as evil, it isn't up to me to decide. I hope this answer satisfied your curiosity."
After he finished speaking, Ed caught the old man's hand and teleported him to the village. The old man's feet turned into jelly because of the unexpected teleportation.
"You should have a card right? Bring it out." Ed told him while extending his hand. The old man didn't have any reason to refuse. His points were taken away by the bandits, and only his name remained. The only reason why the bandits let him keep it was because of the tracking function it had. Ed actually didn't know about this function.
'Edmund.' Ed read the name written on the card while transferring some points. He gave the man a total of 50.000 points, more than enough to keep him entertained if he knew how to use it well.
The villagers were throwing a party due to having escaped the tyranny of the bandits. Some bandits who survived were going to be executed in public. Some villagers were mourning the loss of the ones who died in the battle. These ones were extremely aggressive towards the surviving bandits. "We weren't going to attack you, I swear!" one of the bandits who knew his time was close to running out tried to weasel out of his situation. Unfortunately, his pleas fell on deaf ears.
Ed didn't care about what was happening. He went to his inn room by teleportation. After taking his disguise off, he summoned his companions and started cooking for them. Everyone fought hard during the battle. Especially those tasked with the protection of people. "By the way, what power did the leader have?" Ed asked Sieg and Raikou who fought him.
"He had a smoke that could eat away at the life force of living beings," Sieg answered as he was the one hit by the black smoke.
As Ed was making small talk he didn't really care. He continued cooking for a while and then went to sleep. In the next morning, he went out to hunt some more monsters.
Ed last saw Johan three days ago, which meant he moved to the next floor already. Ed spent four days hunting outside to spend his time. Unfortunately for him, he didn't get the Gacha tickets he wanted, only one dropped from over 100 monsters. Ed was baffled at the sudden drop in drop rates of the tickets. Granted, Ed didn't get to fight many high leveled monsters, but he expected to at least get another ten tickets.
Ed headed towards the teleportation circle of the next floor. Luckily for him, people didn't attempt to escape to the next floor. Otherwise, he would have needed to spend an extra couple of days on this floor. He strolled one last time in the village, hoping to see something that would interest him as he still had some points left. Sadly, the only thing that caught his attention was the old man he saved, starring at him while he was walking.
'He couldn't have recognized me right? I even changed my voice!' Ed was surprised but didn't show it in his movement or face. He remained the same and headed to the teleportation circle. Since most people were injured during the battle, no one attempted to leave this floor. Ed felt lucky as he walked into the teleportation room. These rooms existed only to house the teleportation circles. A group of people was inside speaking to each other. The group of people was there to monitor those that wanted to leave the floor.
"That little girl was so fast! I wonder where she's from."
"You should have seen the black-skinned one that saved me!"
"A pale skinned person saved me as well. He was so handsome and cool, and-" "We know! You already told us."
"Well you guys repeated your encounters many times, why shouldn't I?!"
The four people kept bickering about being saved. Ed realized that they were talking about his companions and quickened his steps. Ed didn't speak a word to them and instantly teleported to the boss area.
The boss was standing in the middle of a thicket. The body of a lion, the head, wings, and front legs of an eagle. The boss this time is a Gryphon. Ed quickly asked the system about its rarity since its aura was very…underwhelming. It was an Epic rank, Heavenly Establishment level 6 monster. Truly underwhelming. The battle went in a different way compared to Ed's battles ever since he started killing Legendary floor bosses. The difference in difficulty was clear. Especially since Ed managed to level to Heavenly Establishment level 3, making all his monster level 6.
"What is this feeling…" Ed clutched his chest as he felt different. Emptiness filled his heart. 'I know what is missing. The feeling of accomplishment." Ed thought to himself as he was teleported by the light.
In front of him was a mountain. He was now on the eleventh floor of the Tower of Origin. A desolate area surrounded the mountain, and the sky was covered by dark clouds. Not even the light could penetrate through these clouds. Such darkness would not trouble Heavenly Establishment cultivators. Their heightened senses could adapt in a short time. Ed could see that the top of the mountain was above the clouds. He thought about flying directly there but decided against it. He would be getting stronger if he killed monsters.
Ed noticed an entrance in the foot of the mountain. It was clearly the start of the eleventh floor, not this desolate area. He activated his dimension and entered it. Reviewing the notification, he noticed that he got one Gacha ticket and 300.000 Exp from the Gryphon. 'That's less than Mehen…' Ed thought.
He opened the Gacha interface, which now had one mess component.
"Use twenty tickets to exchange for two Legendary cards," Ed told the system, who did so. Two golden tickets appeared in Ed's hands as he inserted them into the Monster Gacha and the Skill Gacha.

Acquired Agumon, Telekinesis.
'Eh?!' Ed exclaimed in his mind.
Hello everyone! I read your comments on the last chapter and they made me very happy. Thank you for reading the novel!
Enjoy the chapter!
Ed was stumped for a while. He could have been given a month to guess what monster he would get, and Agumon would be his last. In fact, he might not have made it into the list. Ed was hit by a wave of nostalgia and immediately crushed the two cards. Information about the use of Telekinesis flooded his brain. Pain took over his senses. After a while, His eyes, that were clouded by the pain cleared up. In front of him stood a yellow dinosaur-like lizard that was less than one meter tall. His feet and hands had three claws each, and his eyes shone in green brilliance
"Yo!" Agumon raised his arm and waved at Ed. 'His attitude is not any different from the series' Ed thought to himself. "Do you have something to eat?" Agumon's hands caressed his stomach as it grumbled. Ed laughed at the sight and started cooking some food. Everyone ate together as usual, but now a lively addition was added to their ranks.
'How come his rarity is Legendary?' Ed asked the system. He knew that Agumon who is a Digimon, or digital monster, has many evolutions which could be accessed. But, they needed specific conditions.
[The conditions are not in place since you got the card thanks to me.] The system's words helped Ed relax. [But, he can only evolve three times. Any more and you would need to unlock it by Upgrade cards] the system explained further.
'Three times. That means only at the Mega form.' Since Agumon is a Digimon, he was ranked according to his evolution stage. It was divided to rookie, champion, ultimate, and mega. Other evolutions or de-evolutions existed, such as baby forms or super mega forms. Agumon being a Legendary monster meant that he had the ability to access his Mega form directly. Ed felt relieved, as this meant a powerful addition to his team. His twenty Gacha tickets were not a waste.
"It's time to train," Ed announced as he stood up. Thanks to his system, he found out that his dimension could be kept for a total of one normal day. This gave Ed the ability to stay inside for two days. Now, with the eight of them, everyone had their own training partner. Agumon faced off against Ed, who asked him to transform into his champion form. As the light that surrounded Agumon grew bigger and bigger, so did his aura. A gigantic dinosaur emerged, with orange skin that had slash-like blue patches. A brown armored head, and two horns that sprouted out of the side of his head and pointed upwards. Another horn sprouted on top of his nose.
This was Agumon's champion form, called Greymon, and in this state, he was over 6 meters tall. When fighting many weak opponents, his size would definitely give him an advantage. However, that wasn't the case with Ed who was an expert at fighting. Greymon's signature abilities are called Mega Flame, and Great Antler. The first one consisted of spewing out high-temperature flames that rendered everything into ash. The second move was a charge that served to impale the opponent with his front horn. Both of these moves did not work on Ed.
Seeing that the battle was one-sided, Ed asked Greymon to evolve once more. Or since he's a Digimon, it would be more accurate to call a digivolution. Agumon's Ultimate form is MetalGreymon. As the name suggests, it is Greymon with a mechanized body. But, not all of its body is turned into metal. Instead, its head, chest, and left arm are made into a machine by a metal called Chrome Digizoid. MetalGreymon's head looks like a metal helmet thanks to this digivolution. He also gains three pairs of dragonfly-like purple wings. Of course, its battle prowess increases tremendously.
MetalGreymon had the ability to fly and use long range attack other than flames. His metal arm could extend and slash, or, the opponent. As it was made from an extremely rare metal, it was very sharp. Ed clashed with MetalGreymon a couple of times and deduced that his armor was very tough. Ed would need to use Haki and Nen in order to break through it. MetalGreymon's strongest ability was the Tera Destroyer. He releases two missiles from his metal chest. The explosion that resulted was incredibly powerful, that it made everyone stop to look at it. 'They did say that is was comparable to a nuclear blast…' Ed thought with a wry face.
"We'll stop here for today." Ed stopped the training before Agumon could undergo his digivolution to Mega form. After the training, all of them took a bath and ate once more. Ed cooked up two different dishes, one camel, and one boar. He was thinking about whether or not to use the bison meat he had but decided on another day.
Morning came, and as Ed was preparing to enter the mountain, he was surprised by Raikou and Gobuta's requests. Both of them asked Ed if they could remain here. Apparently, the shadows and darkness were beneficial to both of them. Ed could understand Raikou's case since he is a Shadow Wolf, but he didn't know about Gobuta. Thanks to the system's explanation, he knew that Gobuta's race title (Demon Lord) gave him an affinity with darkness. Absorbing it in this barren land where light can't reach would definitely improve his abilities.
Ed also asked the system about the significance of the title.
[What you will hear next will shock you.]Indeed Ed was shocked. By the system's words that sounded like a cheap advertisement.
[As a Demon Lord, he has the ability to command other monsters. Currently, the number is set to five monsters, but it will increase if he evolves. Also, the monsters will be turned into cards, but won't be counted into the maximum amount which is now ten. This is only if Gobuta is summoned, if he is not they will count.] Ed was indeed shocked. He didn't notice it when he summoned Agumon, but the number of monsters he could summon t once had increased. Still, Ed didn't forget to ask the important question. "How does he get these followers?"
[Either monsters choose to follow him on their own, or he simply kills them. He killed many monsters before, but his ability didn't activate as both of you didn't know about it]. Ed always wanted to ask about his title but didn't have the chance. It wasn't exactly a loss since not a single monster, other than Mehen, impressed Ed.
Hello everyone! I noticed that some of you are still confused about what I said in chapter 139. No, I will not be dropping the novel, it was simply a joke.
The only reason why I would consider dropping the novel is either some uncontrollable situation in real life or if its rating hits 3.5 or lower, as that would mean I messed up big time.
Enjoy the chapter^^
