Chapter 5: The Doctor
"Ah Midknight it looks as if you right side is injured. Are you hurt anywhere else?" inquired the doctor in a soothing voice.
I didn't answer, just stared at the floor thinking about what had happened and what action I should take next.
"It's alright to talk to me Midknight." Said the doctor in an irritated voice.
"Um my right shoulder's a bit sore as well." There was silence for a bit.
"I'm going to start on the stiches now." The doctor disinfected my side causing it to burn a little.
Then he started on the stiches. When he was done he poked and prodded my sore right shoulder. "Has your shoulder been injured recently?"
"Yeah I broke my collar bone in practice three months ago."
"Ah that would explain it. It hasn't finished healing yet. You should rest it as much as possible."
"I just wanted to be free and to protect my brother. … I resented him though. I felt like he was dragging me down with him. My brother just couldn't see what the world we live in was like. But now… now I want his dream to come true. For it be our dream. I need to make a statement somehow. To say that we're strong," I mumbled to myself.
"Hah, well you could always try for taking down the reigning champ, Tenor. Not that a Sky, especially you, could ever do that." Commented the doctor as he left the room.
