Chapter 78: Coercion

With my powers diminishing, it applied to everyone else as well. I could see teacher Elton's level drop, he didn't become as weak as a knight apprentice. But he was a lower level knight, I could even see the grand knights and mages decrease in level.

With the mages, losing their connection to the magic in the outside world. For them, they can store magic power within them using the magic vessel and be fine. Whereas me, having the vessel yet can't do the same.

The materials for creating a magic vessel were far too out of my league even though I have the design in mind. At the end of the herb garden, I could see strange things running at us.

When I looked closer I saw they were corrupted human beings running straight at us. Their skin was charred and black, their faces indiscernible as well as their movements. There were hundreds of them heading at us in their insanity.

The grand knights and mages raised their weapons, and sent a magical and intent barrage at the approaching monsters. Although they were weakened, they still had insights into higher magic and weapon arts.

Even if we were the same level, I would ever think of fighting them. Unless I planning on dying after fighting my best that is. The monster's skin was resilient each cut only made them bleed for a little. Then it would regenerate fairly quickly, even burning them wouldn't work.

But that wasn't their intention anyway when all the monsters were knocked down. Carina and Grandmaster Isaiah walked to the front of the grand knights. Grandmaster Isaiah removed his pure white blade from his sheath. It shined with a holy energy, and Carina spear was inundated with that energy.

"Sword of Purity." Isaiah intoned as a holy light emanated from his sword, the light attacked the undead

"Spear of Light," Carina said as her spear shined with a light energy

The two attacks intertwined into a beam of energy, that extinguished the defenses of the various monsters. Their resilient skin peeled off layer by layer from the great power of their attack.

"Mages!" Aringer yelled out, they removed their staffs from their bags of holding

"Avul, Ga, In, Wu, Draca." They chanted as their staffs created a matrix together.

The matrix blessed the grand knights with further energy. The restrictions of this dimension were transcended for a moment. The grand knights' strength approached the peak of knights at this point.

Leandre lead the rest of the Grand Knights, he started off with a golem fist to crush the monsters. A beautiful ice queen coldly sent beams of frozen energy at the monsters killing them in moments.

"Leave some for me, Jasmine." Leandre said as he crushed the monsters

"Hmph." She coldly sorted at his attempt to be friendly

'Flirting now of all times?' I couldn't help but wryly smile at the ridiculousness of this situation.

The weakened monsters were quickly destroyed as by the grand knights. The horde was cut down, and the grand knights' energy dropped quickly after the end of the battle. They took a moment to relax and take a deep breath after the tension of the battle.

"Brother....." Leandre said as he looked deep into the ruins, hoping to see something.

Aringer sat down and took out a set of cards, he laid them out and divined a path.

"There are no hidden restrictions here, disciples are entitled to one of the outer herbs. Knights are entitled to one of the inner herbs. Grand Knights are allowed to come with me for the heaven ranked herbs." Aringer said as he took the cards off the ground.

They didn't seem to be regular cards, otherwise touching the ground here would destroy them. Given the massive elemental energy that is constantly floating around.

"Stay here and mingle with the other students." Teacher Elton said to me as he ruffled my hair and went with the grand knights.

I was curious as to where they were going, but some secrets aren't meant to be known without power. So I decided to look away and focus on what was here already. I looked at the Nirnroot, no one else among the people left looked at it. I burst at my highest speed before grabbing the Nirnroot. As I was grabbing the Nirnroot, I could see Simon in the corner laughing at me.

'He must think, that I coveted this and don't know what it is.' I calmly analyzed, he seemed to have made a grudge ever since I beat him silly.

I smiled at him, as I calmly removed the Nirnroot and put it in my bag of holding. With my profound understanding of plant anatomy and much more. I felt no fear handling even the most dangerous herbs, especially this Nirnroot which will be an advantage to me.

We were entitled to one, I almost wanted to grab more but I realized there was a reason he said one. He told us there was no restriction and said to only pick one.

He was implying that nothing happens when you pick one. But if you pick the second one there will be consequences caused by the school. At least that was my interpretation, but after all, there may be restrictions here for stealing more than one.

'He did say, 'we' could only pick one.' I mumbled to myself

'Teacher Elton, also said to mingle with the other students.' I chuckled in my mind, as I reached for my dual sabers.

I looked over at Simon, who took a step back as I unsheathed my sabers. He was originally grabbing and elemental longan when he saw my bloodthirsty look. I filled my two sabers with my lightning sword intent.

The sword flashed with intense lightning runes, and I burst from my feet at a high speed. Simon tried to run, but with the level, gap shortened especially for him. He had no real advantages against me, my two sabers thinly cut at his chest.

I slammed his body into the ground with the side of the saber. I also redirected the force with force switch to harm his internal physique. He slammed into the ground making a little crater and vomited blood.

"Weak, hehe," I said as I reached for his bag of holding.

Since Aringer tacitly approved of infighting, I could openly steal his harvest. But I couldn't just rob him of all his items, they didn't approve of that. Although I saw some stuff that I desired, I just took the elemental Longan and laughed. It was on the floating island, but it was a blessed fire, Longan.

I could tell that within the fire, was a sort of primordial power from eons ago. When we came I noticed three herbs that I had to have and this was one of them.

I put the longan in my bag of holding and quickly dodged away from Simon. Where I stood was an arrow embedded in the ground. It wasn't enchanted but the power it had was awe inspiring. I looked over at Hawkeye, who had removed his bow and sent the arrow to me.

"Showing your true colors it seems....." He said in a cold tone to me

"Stay out of it, this is between me and him. Since he wanted to fight, I only gave him due justice." I said as I charged my saber with my intent, and looked at Hawk's eye with cold malice filled eyes.

Hawkeye looked conflicted for a moment, then he calmed himself and raised his bow at me.

"You don't get to decide, what justice is." He said as he sent three spiraling arrows at me. The arrows this time were tipped with intent.

I adeptly dodged the arrows with small movements, but when they passed me. They changed trajectory and aimed for the top of my head. I charged my sword armor without ouroboros intent and blocked the strike with my fingers. I targeted the intent of the arrows and ripped the arrows apart with three taps of my finger.

Hawkeye looked at me in dread, he was preparing more arrows. When I abruptly speed at his face, I raised a single finger and pointed at him. I tapped the void, which sent my intent to him like a battering ram.

His weak defense was quickly punctured, and my intent speed past his ear. It easily made a hole in his ear, it was incredibly small and insignificant. But it was significantly harder to do what I just did with intent than to just cut him apart.

"You....your Weapon fusion is level 3?!?!?" Hawkeye said as he massaged his ear, and dodged back in panic.

The only other person among the younger generation to reach that point was the sword king. I could tell his intent was somewhere in level 4, he should have maybe 65%-70% weapon fusion.

"I'll let you off, as long as you hand over your harvest," I said in a cold tone, I didn't bother to answer his question, my power answered every question he could have.

His face darkened as he hesitated, and he reached for his bag of holding. He removed a Longan filled with a strong freezing energy. But this energy was just like the previous one, it had a primordial feel to it.

I couldn't help but feel happy, at my harvests but I was already aware of both of the fruits the moment we came here. I only targeted these two idiots because of their fruits. But luckily they made it easier for me to 'righteously' steal their harvests.

Otherwise, I would have had to find a time to kill them and take their fruits. Considering how impressive these longans looked, I knew someone would have to pick it and that way I wouldn't have to risk the chance of there being restrictions.
