Chapter 3: Progenitor of Blood
After climbing out of Julia's house I jump to a tree beside the house and climb down making my way to the wall between our houses. Grabbing the wall and climbing over like I have so many times in the past I make it into my own yard. Enter my house and going to my room I go straight to my chair. I pull it over to my bed to recline and rest my feet and look for the book. I can't find it, I feel my heart race in terror only to calm down when it appears out of no where.
I open it and start to read. It is written in those weird runes that I could understand after the pain brought about by the eye before returning to the realm of the living. It was a great read! The first and most important thing is my body needs Vitae or what you could call life blood. Humans have it and so do animals but of a lower quality based on the animal and some other factors. I need it to live and to use some abilities or to strengthen myself. Good news, I don't need much to live. Don't even need to eat food. Bad news, almost everything I can do uses it like fuel. Like gas for a car.
In a few years time magic and magical being will start to become a common thing. I can use it like a mage and power spells and formations even magic tools after changing how they work. Some people all cultivated their bodies giving themselves strength or speed and the like. I can make a Thrall either a human dominated or a ghoul by feeding them my own Vitae. It isn't instantiate in the case of a ghoul. The Vitae can given and then used by a ghoul to strengthen themselves. I don't know how useful they will be later on when other worldly creatures finally come. I'll have to test this later on might not be very cost effective to spend so much vitae on what will be cannon fodder.
As I continue to read I came around an entry that filled myself with rage! I can't have children. I explained that I am now no longer "alive". I can't have children! One of my regrets is that I never had any children. God Damn it! I continue to read to distract myself from my hysteria.
There some explanation follow in the book. I need Vitae to make my self flush or to breath or to even look human. I guess it just makes my life harder fortunately it doesn't take much. I continue to read and there is some good news I can, as described Embrace a human and take all their blood and give some of my own Vitae to the corpse to sire to turn them into a progeny or brood.
Enough of this nonsense I grow hungry and wrathful. I get up and shower I smell of blood and dirt not very pleasant. I do love this new body though. The heighten senses will take some getting used to and I recall I could smell pheromones that was quite nice. I change into some sweats and a sweatshirt. Grabbing some money I leap out my window to the ground below from the second floor and start to run. I jump over the wall in the rear of the house which is leads to a gated community. The community leads right to a small shopping district. I can't run all they way there would waste to much Vitae. I hail a cab and leave to the apartment complex Tyler lives in.
It take more then ten minutes. I made sure to go to a public area I usually frequent. Can have cops in my ass if I cause trouble. I hand him a thirty and leave not even bother with the change. I walk into an alley jumping to the fire escape and climbing it making sure to not get spotted from either pedestrians or residents and shop owners. I make it to the roof and jump from one to the next making it towards Tyler's residence. It is getting close to midnight. I can see so well. What a great perk that is. I remember now I didn't even bother to turn on any lights at home and could even read. Won't have to worry about having to pee in the middle of the night!
God Damn it! I don't know where he lives. I was never his friend so why didn't I think of that. At least I know the building. I hide outside it on a roof nearby watching the entrance. I sit there waiting for half an hour reading more of Progenitor of Blood while I wait for him. Glancing at the entrance I see him but he is with someone. I want to know what they are talking about. I feel my ears pop and then. Wow I can hear them.
The other guy said. "You piece of shit! You already promised her to the boss! You said it was in the bag, that she would do what you said! The boss will not be happy if you don't get that girl in his bed tonight." He smacks Tyler in the back of his head quite hard making him stumble. I swear if this is about Julia I am going to have to fuck him up real good.
Tyler stammers and replays. "That... that bitch Julia's father was caught doing coke and fucking a whore. Had pictures and even a video of him doing it several times. She was going to agree if that fucker Edward didn't involved."
That piece of shit! No wonder I never saw her anymore. Man maybe I could have gotten laid earlier too if her family didn't come home if she was going to give it up to save her family. Sweet girl trying to save her douche bag father. No matter I will take out the trash and get the girl. Gotta check these shit bags first. They moved towards a car in the parking lot and I real wanted to snatch them up. Looking around I make sure there are no cameras. It looks like there are a lot but if I move right I can avoid the one pointing at them and the other is to far up to show them. It is late and the only other people are across the lot.
No or never. I jump down and sprint towards them quiet as can be. Getting behind the other guy who is driving, probably his car. I wait for him to open the door and climb in. Both of the are in and looking away I climb in the back seat. When the car starts I punch Tyler in the left side of the seat and the other guy looks over seeing him hit his head on the window. Before he know what is happening I reach around the left side of the driver seat and grab his throat. Extending a claw on my right hand I bring it close enough to his neck to draw blood.
Again I smell fear. I really wonder why it has to be lemony. He grunts out trying to breath." Who the fuck are you fucker!"
I dig my claw in a little more and he quiets down. I whisper in the left side so he can't see my face in the mirror. "Shut your mouth and drive to the abandoned train yard a few block from here. Know the place? Best not try to drive else where or anything. I'll kill you before that happens." I squeeze a little harder so he can't breath for a few seconds then let up so he doesn't pass out.
He just nods and starts to drive. I can feel his heart racing. Man I can't wait to have some fun with these fucks. We arrive quickly since it is very late and this is not a busy area. As he pulls up to the locked gate I can feel his heart beat pick up. I then decided to test out some of my venom I learned I have. I can do many things like what I will use it for. To knock him out. I secrete some from my claw and it enters is veins quickly and as he falls asleep I reach up a pull the parking break. Can't have the car go wild.
I climb out. Luckily this area has been abandoned for years so no one will notice us. I quickly go to the drivers seat and pull his leg back. He had been stepping on the gas when he passed out. He didn't even get the chance to put on his seat belt. I grab him and shove him in the back. Leaving the door open I go to the gate and grab the chain with a lock on it and twist the lock till something snaps giving me access to the train yard. I pick up the scraps and throw them in the train yard so no one can see them. I am sure I could find a spell to do that but fuck it ain't got the time for that shit there is fun to be had!
I drive the car into the yard and to a warehouse. I get out open the door and drive in. I just drive though some of the stuff in here. It is not my car so fuck it. I find two chairs and some rust wire and strap my two new playmates in. I did cut myself on some of that shitty wire but I just willed for it to heal did cost me some Vitae but I will get some more soon enough. Sucks stuff will not just heal natural now but being able to heal all the time is badass and the strength is fantastic.
I take turns slapping them awake. Tyler is first to wake up but I still keep take turns because it is so fun to see his surprise when he realize it is me. The other guy also wakes up after quite a few slaps poor Tyler. I guess I used to much venom.
With both their attention on me I ask them. "So who is this boss you want to give Julia too?"
The other guy just pretends to be confused and Tyler is crying to hard. That is what he gets to being such a light sleeper. I grow hungry and decide to have a snack. Much too their horror my claws and fangs glow longer. Before the can say anything I bite right into the still nameless guy. Instead of using venom to make it pleasant I use something to make him scream in agony. That is what he gets for fucking with Julia and being involved with this all. Is agony just makes it taste better anyways. I decide to make him a slave later so I don't drain him. I did get a lot of vitae maybe it is because he looks so healthy or at least did till he lost so much blood. Seeing him whimper after I finish with him I laugh manically. Next I move to Tyler also working on a plan for these two new slaves.
Screaming at my approach. "MONSTER!"
This time I drain him. The last drop was the best. I open the book at the back. This is something I learned it can give me useful info pertaining to myself or others like my soon to be broodlings. As the nameless guy sees the book appear out of nowhere he screams and falls over backwards in his flailing to escape. He knocks himself unconscious like an idiot. I return to looking at the book. It is asking me if I want to make him a Brood and I agree. My empire is going to need slaves to do my bidding. I fiddle with it deciding what to do with him. I am going to make him a blood hunter for me. I do not have all the time in the world to do it myself.
I work it out so can do it best. I then have an idea. I could use a man servant and bodyguard when I start attending school. I decided that would be a better use for him. This is awesome I get so much power over how my progeny function and it can even be used to carry on to their progeny so I can make clans for specific purposes. Why do something when you can make others do it for you.
I decide to get to it. I am going to have to use a lot of vitae to prefect my first creation. Have to make sure he is loyal too if he is going to be a bodyguard can have this piece of shit mouthing off either. I cast the spell over is body while biting my wrist to let my vitae flow into Tyler's now lifeless corpse. The spell is to make the settings I decided on work the way I want then I add enough vitae to make sure it is loyal to me.
I can also do it without the spell. I do not have a good grasp on how each of the runes works to create it so I will have to practice more. The spell just takes to long. I wait and watch my work being done after fueling the spell and adding the extra I need along with the runes to make him loyal. I am so glad I got this power and did not just become a regular vampire.
Vampires become more well know in after monsters start coming. A few groups helped humans some even going as far as to only drinking shitty synthetic blood or even animal. Other groups sought to take their place as rulers. There was some info about them in my first life. The did not use runes like me and there progeny got weaker every generation down. They could make Thralls the same but the same as with their progeny always weaker. The closer they were to the first generation the stronger they became but there was a lot of infighting between groups and many could barely get by.
The transformation was finally complete. My new servant flexed and broke the thick wrap of wire binding his arms and ripped the bindings on his legs. I then commanded. " Fetch the other one. Sit him upright and wake him up." He did as told. Asking the now awake an confused soon to be servant. "Now your name?"
Before he could speak up Tyler said. "Master, he is called beetle. His name is Anatoly Petrov."
Man the difference from before and after is weird. I will have to make sure if I ever embrace a women I do not make it so weird. What would be the point if they all act the same. I spoke up wanting to get some more info about him and the boss. "Russian huh. I heard you talking about giving Julia to this boss who is he?" I have him a dead-eye.
He replied shivering. "He is called Scorpion. Runs a gang in the city. The mostly sell drugs sometimes guns too. Also Russian but the gang is not entirely."
No matter. I look over to Anatoly and he was still looking on in confusion at Tyler out of restrains and helping me. I did not want to waste anymore time so I dove in to finish my meal. Biting him and draining of blood. This time I wanted someone to be a bloodhound for me. I need it for everything. The setup was quicker this time and we waited for him to turn.
I order my new servants to climb in the car and take me to this boss. I wanted to wrap this up and go home and learn some spells. I might need to teach some to these two. While on the way there I looked at what spells I should learn. There were a few that interested me, like one to blood into crystals that could be stored or another spell to refine said crystals. That is useful. There is a lot of useless waste absorbed when drink blood.
I was so engrossed in book I did not realize we had arrived till Tyler told me. "We are here sir."
In reply while making the book disappear. " Beetle you lead the way and Tyler follow up behind me."
Both nodded. How great it is to make them so subservient. The place we were at was a club called Moon Palace. What a cheese name. We entered through a side door to get into the employee area quicker and made our way to the back. Through some double doors was a hallway and at the end stairs with two bouncers. Maybe the club's or the gang's men. Making our way down stair were some gangsters playing cards and smoking. They had a Flat screen in the corner away from the others with a bald fat man sitting in it watching porn.
I was surprised to say the least. I ask loudly. "Who is this fat fuck watching porn? Is this the scumbag who wants my Julia?" You could hear it quiet down instantly. Well aside from the porn. I could just hear grunting.
Both laughed and walking in front of me Tyler said. " Master, Yes it is sir. He will fuck anything that moves."
The fat bald turd stood up screaming in a heavy Russian accent and pulling out a gun. "Fuck you think this is boy! You made the worst choice of your life."
I pulled Tyler in front of me. He was still bloody from the beating in the train yard so hey might as well. Red will not look good on my grey hoodie. The gun fired off once right into Tyler who just tanked it since he was being pulled by me. I shoved him towards him and he know want to do.
Laughing I yell. "Get him dog!"
