Chapter 4: Chicken
Sitting here at the brown square dinner table
Looking at the bowls full of delicious food
Is it still warm? I touch it and see
Where is my family? Can we please eat?
I'm hungry
I call my mom, I hear no answer
I call her again and she replies
I say let's eat everyone's here but you!
She walks over to the table and prays
It was pretty short,
I guess she didn't really have much to say
I breathe in the sweet smell of chicken,
quickly grab it and stuff it in my mouth
It is delicious, crunchy, sweet deliciousness
