Chapter 36: They (didn't) kiss(ed)!
"I..saw it. I saw you two kissing with my own eyes!" Yennie knew she was caught spying on Lyn if she said but but she still did anyway. At least she could maybe satisfy her curiosity, which was worth it.
This.. can't be! I must be hearing 'talking' as 'kissing'.
"I don't know if you said you saw us kissing or you saw us talking but we talked, yes.
We kissed? No!"
"Lyn.. why are u acting like you have hearing problems? If you don't wanna tell me, just say the truth. You don't have to make up a story.." Yennie felt hurt, thinking that Lyn no longer trusted her after befriending Devon.
"No I'm not! I really think I'm hearing AND seeing things!" Lyn cried
(ps the 'cried' does not mean shedding tears or being sad but like a word to replace 'said' )
Before Yennie could say anymore, Lyn began explaining all the happenings that made her question if she's seeing and hearing things.
"Goodness gracious! Such things happened? But..you did not hear me wrongly.. I really said that I saw the two of you kissing!" Yennie argued.
"No we didn't! What must I do for you to believe that we didn't kiss?" Lyn said helplessly
"Then what were you two doing? A guy and girl alone in a secluded area, with the guy's mouth close to the girl's face. Other than kissing what else could you two do? Moreover...I heard Devon telling you 'See you at my house'!" Yennie said in a way that could only make people think that the only thing they could do is to kiss.
"It's not that I don't believe you, but how else could you explain what I just saw? Unless.." Yennie's eyes suddenly lit up as she thought of something.
"Unless what?" Lyn asked anxiously, annoyed that she did not finished what she wanted to say, making Lyn curious.
Seeing that, Yennie chuckled to herself.
"I'll tell you later. Anyways, Lyn, I KNOW THAT YOU'RE HIDING SOMETHING FROM ME! How is it that during drama lessons, you and Devon made a scene over a trivial matter yet after drama lessons, you guys started ki- getting intimate~" Yennie's sudden change in tone made Lyn surprised, although she should be used to it already.
"No, we are merely talking!" Lyn explained with exasperation however Yennie was displeased. No matter what she asked Lyn, she would not answer her properly. All Lyn cared to explain was about her and Devon being close instead of answering her questions.
"LYN! ANSWER MY QUESTIONSSSS! Or.. I'll just tell people that you two ki-"
"Okay okay, you're right, NOT THE KISSING PART, but that I'm indeed hiding something from you.." Lyn went on explaining about their plans and that after drama lessons, all they did was discuss about their next plan.
Eh..can't be! If they are just talking, how is it that I saw them kissing? Yennie still felt that Lyn did not properly explain the kissing part and was dissatisfied that she still insist that they didn't kiss when she saw them kissed with her own eyes.
Would you rather believe a partially explained explanation or your own eyes?
Of course your own eyes! Yennie thought.
"No you're lying! If you're just talking, you wouldn't talk at such close proximity but instead be at the distance like you and me are now!" Yennie stubbornly persisted.
Devon and I did indeed talk at a close distance. Lyn recalled. Since when did I..
"Oh!" Lyn exclaimed as if she had recalled something.
To Yennie, she would of course think that Lyn had remembered that she'd kissed Devon, but what Lyn was about to say would shatter Yennie's hope.
"Ahh..I remember already! I think the part u saw us 'kissed' is when he whispered the plans to me."
wha..
It was not a kiss, but just a whisper..?
"oh.." Yennie replied disappointedly
To think she waited so long just to know that she was excited to see two people whisper..
"so..when Devon said to 'see you at his house' is also to discuss about the plan?"
"yeah" the moment Lyn replied, Yennie's heart sank.
Woah. To think I really thought something was going between them.. :/
GRRR!
Lyn: ..?
Yennie: !
As Yennie's curiosity was not satisfied, her stomach growled with hunger.
"Haha let's eat before lessons starts again" Lyn laughed, reminiscing the time when she was like Yennie at Devon's house.
"Of course! Food is love, food is live. Food over everything!" Yennie said before munching off to various kinds of food, sandwiches, drinks and whatnot. You name it, she eat it.
As Lyn watched Yennie gobbled on the variou food, she suddenly remembered their conversation previously.
"It's not that I don't believe you, but how else could you explain what I just saw? Unless.." Yennie's eyes suddenly lit up as she thought of something.
"Unless what?" Lyn asked anxiously, annoyed that she did not finished what she wanted to say, making Lyn curious.
Seeing that, Yennie chuckled to herself.
"I'll tell you later."
"Oh ya, just now u said that you'd never believe me, unless what?" It's now Lyn's turn to die of curiosity.
Yennie ignored Lyn as Lyn asked while she was eating peacefully. It was only when she was satisfied with her meal did she reply Lyn.
"Well, unless..you guys re-enact the scene in front of me!"
