Chapter 5: another pairwork?
Class: *chatters and gossips*
then look at Devon and Lyn
Devon: ...
Lyn: ...
De ja vu
poor pair! When will they ever talk?
Well, very soon!
"SILENCE!" Mr Zin's voice boomed, shutting everyone's voice
Mr Zin is the Literature teacher btw
clearing his throat, Mr Zin continued, "You will be doing a one week project with your desk mate."
...not again?! Lyn sighed
Devon saw that and rolled his eyes. As if I would want to do with you either!
Mr Zin then continued on by saying that each pair will have to create a storyline and the most creative storyline wins. The winning pair will be in charge of directing the upcoming play for the class. They can get anyone to act whatever character and get them to do whatever they want! The storyline will also be decided by them! Basically, the winner takes all.
Hearing that, both Lyn and Devon frowned. They both want to win this and torture each other yet, both of them are on the same team.
Seeing Lyn frown, Devon could not help but ask "Are you thinking of torturing me if you win? Too bad! We're on the same team"
"Aren't you thinking the same thing as well?"
Lyn was caught off-guard but she also realised that Devon knew what she was thinking as he was also thinking about the same thing.
"What can I say? Great minds think alike."
They both smiled at that comment but quickly wiped it off their face due to their pride.
The remaining time left was given to the class to discuss about the project.
"So for the project, do you want to go my house or your house?" Devon asked
"Your house!" Lyn replied immediately, shocking Devon.
She will never bring a man to her house for her parents are the kind to think that every boy she brought was her boyfriend. There's no way she would let them think that the demon was her boyfriend!
"uhh okay.. then do you mind giving me your number?"
"of course.."
Lyn was actually surprised that Devon can be so polite that she almost asked "wow, you actually have manners?" but of course she did not want to ruin the moment and summon a demon.
"So um.. when can i come to your house?"
"Anytime."
..why does that sounds so wrong?
After a few more boring lessons on history and maths, school finally ended!
Everyone except Devon left in cliques again
Seeing that, Lyn kinda felt bad and considered abandoning her plan to change seats
"LYNNN! What are you doing for the Literature assignment? My partner and I wanted comedy genre but then thriller is more fun. Oh wait horror is good too! Oh but what if Mr Zin got so shocked that he have a heart attack? Ahhh I can't decide Lyn!" Yennie blabbered out
"Then let your partner choose" Lyn laughed, making Yennie give a 'you bullied me' face and pout her lips
"Actually, any genre is fine. As long as you put in effort, I'm sure it will be good!" Lyn comforted Yennie
"YOUR THE BEST!" Yennie instantly changed from pouting her lips to smiling at Lyn
This girl can really change her emotions fast. Lyn thought
"GOTTA GO AND DO MY STORYLINE! SEE YA TOMORROW!" with that, Yennie disappeared in a flash, not giving Lyn time to react.
She must really liked the project or her partner. Lyn laughed
Yennie's reply reminded Lyn about her project with Devon. She immediately went home to bathe before coming to his house.
Lyn: Is it okay if I come now?
Devon: Ya, my house is at Royal beach street no. 10
Omg! He lives in a landed property! What a rich kid!
30 minutes later..
Ding Dong!
The door opened with a few seconds and Lyn was greeted by a beagle dog
"You're sooo cute!" Upon seeing the dog, Lyn forgot about her purpose of coming over. Instead, she continuously stroked the dog
"You like dogs too?" Devon asked, surprised.
"YEAH! What's her namee? SHE'S SOOO CUTEE!"
"...It's a guy and his name is Ken"
"Oooh Ken Ken! Aww don't go~"
Ken gave a bark and ran to somewhere in the house. Since Devon's house was so huge, Lyn had no way of finding him. Oh well, I'm here to do a project and not play with Ken :( Lyn sighed.
"Uhh so let's start on the storyline.." Lyn said with a tinge of disappointment.
Knowing that Lyn is very fond of Ken, Devon hesitated before calling Ken to his side.
"uhh can I carry him? No wait, just a touch will do."
Devon shrugged his shoulders. Anyway she already did that without asking him so asking for permission is redundant.
"Yay!" Lyn was so happy she kept fondling over Ken's fur
Devon: ...
"Can we start on the project already?" Devon asked, a tinge of annoyance in his voice
"yes yes!" Lyn replied happily, still refusing to let go of Ken
...Is that lunatic infatuated with my dog?
"what genre do you want?"
"Any! You can decide!" Lyn replied happily, her eyes not even looking at Devon but at Ken
*sigh* at this rate she will even agree to kill herself happily
why am i even paired with her? It seems like I will end up doing all the work TT
No, this won't do!
"Will you marry me?"
