Chapter 4: Soaring Cloud Continent

Blue Dawn City, Winter of 7197

The cold winter wind blew upon the wooden window panes of the City Lord's Villa as a 16 year old boy sat by the warm fireplace. His feathery coat rustled with the wind, as he read through books on the Geography and History of the Snow Eagle Kingdom.

Ever since he was a young boy Yao Yuan had always dreamed of exploring the World and all its mysteries. He had read all the books within the City Lord's library and considered himself as experienced as any teenager his age would. He believed he was ready to venture out and see the World. His father, very much disagreed with this.

Having lived under his father's protection, Yao Yuan had barely seen the peripheral regions of Blue Dawn City. Blue Dawn City was an ordinary coastal city on the Eastern Coast of the Snow Eagle Kingdom. The City Lord Yao Shan was an expert appointed by the Royal Government and Yao Yuan's father.

The Snow Eagle Kingdom was just an ordinary Kingdom within the Soaring Cloud Continent. The Continent venerated experts and all citizens who could engaged in some level of Martial Cultivation.

Due to a culture that venerated strengths all kingdoms, noble clans and merchants recruited experts and this lead to a creation of a variety of professions. These professions included Alchemists, Craftsmen and Mercenaries.

However, all these professionals engaged in cultivation along with their professional pursuits. Most Professionals either joined the Trade Alliance or hired themselves to the various factions, be they Kingdoms, Sects, Clans or Empires.

Ultimately, the Soaring Cloud Continent could be described as a dog eat dog world, strength reigned supreme. Power could be determined either by personal strength or backing. Backing meant the faction or support an individual or organisation had in the background.

Two months ago had been Yao Yuan's 16th birthday and a strange phenomena occurred that night. Strange memories seemed to have emerged in his mind.

As time passed he finally went through all the memories and came to understand everything. He had been reborn!!

While there were tales of various reincarnated Immortals in Soaring Cloud Continent, he knew he was no Immortal or God. He was just a mortal.

Luckily, he had had 16years in this life to adjust otherwise the mental impact of this realisation would have broken his fragile mind.

While he still longed to go Blood Rain Continent he had developed a sense of home in Soaring Cloud Continent.

His first goal was to begin meditating on the Underworld Nirvana Scripture.

Strength broke all, Strength made all.
