Chapter 2: A base in the middle of Japan
I was practicing swordplay in the facility that was constructed for me, it was designed after a dojo. With every type of equipment, should I need it.
"Ooh, are you practicing this early in the morning?" Ailen came in and asked.
"I was just finishing up, but what do you want? You're interrupting" I said.
"Well, the thing is, after making you practice hard for 6 years. I was thinking that I'd show you something" He answered. Ailen was leading me through sparse but empty rooms, after walking for a short 3 minutes, we arrive in front of a wooden door, it was the door to my room. As Ailen opened the door I could slowly see a lot of colors, my expectations were skyrocketing.
"Surprise!!" "Surprise, Young Master" "Happy birthday, Ubel". There was, Netis, Albert and Raz wishing me happy birthday.
I had forgotten, I'm becoming 19 this year, after 6 years of hard work and getting a taste of the social life. I've never once celebrated my birthday, now that I think about it, my father has never arranged stuff like this before either.
The party is great, even though there was 5 people, there still felt like there was a lot of things to do. For the most part, we played games and mocked Albert for being bad at every game we threw at him. The party is great.
"Ubel" Ailen pulled me to him, right now we were in the middle of eating cake together. "Tomorrow afternoon, 16:00 specific" Ailen said to me,
"OK, but why do you want to meet me?" I asked Ailen.
"I want to show you something, it's related to the terms we discussed a few years ago" Ailen said.
"Alright, I'll be there" I said, "Great"

It's the Young Masters birthday today. I've recovered from the attack 6 years ago, it took a bit of time but I've finally recovered in time to prepare for the Young Masters birthday.
"Hello Albert!!!" It was Netis, she has an unbelievably caring and calming aura around her. She is very cute and acts so as well.
"Hello there, Albert" But I don't like this one, she's way too.. straight forward. However, she is a good maid, she has good cleaning ability and her food is delicious, but no matter how good a maid she is, I'll never forgive her for taking my job!!! I really need to get over this.
Anyways, we're preparing the birthday party while Ailen gets the young master. Ailen is very suspicious, sometimes he's there and then he just disappears. He is my benefactor however, so I have no choice but to trust him. Ailen is a great man, he is a great scientist and he has connections that reaches all the way to the U.S government, so the young masters future path is laid out for him. Even though, I have this weird feeling that all of this is fitting in some weird and bizarre puzzle, all from the Masters death and the special training the Young Master has been given.
"There, it is all coming together nicely!" Netis said this as she was putting up decorations. Raz was making the cake in the kitchen, we had an argument of who was going to be given the honor of making it. Raz won by saying that she has been together with the Young master way longer than an old man like myself. So now I'm a substitute ladder for Netis.

I opened my eyes and gazed at the ceiling. Yesterday was a lot of fun, even though I'm not used to stuff like this. Right now, the clock is 12:00 and it's time for morning practice, that's how it would normally be but today Ailen told me that I had to play RPG games until 16:00 and then come see him. He wanted me to memorize almost everything about them.
I went to the mirror to check myself out. I've grown quite a bit in ten years, right now I'm 175 cm tall, and my hair has grown to be quite long. My hair is kind of unkempt, with bangs sticking out here and there but somehow it suits me.
I sit down and turn on my PC. I have to play until 16:00 so It's not like I've got little time to play all these 20 games. As I go through these games one after another, the clock hits 16:00. I hurried up and got dressed. I open my door and as expected Ailen is waiting right in front of it. "You made me wait for 1 minute and 23 seconds" Ailen said with a smug face.
"Cut the crap, will you" He has done this a number of times, it's getting on my nerves.
"Follow me" Ailen said, he lead me through a lot of hallways and doors, just to arrive at a wall.
"Is this it?" I asked disappointed.
"Just wait second will you." The wall didn't open or anything, however, Ailen just went straight through it like air. Afterwards I did the same, what welcomed me on the other side was a gigantic ro-, wait those were my expectations. What actually waited for me on the other side was a small tiny room with some device mounted on the wall. The device kind of reminded you of a railgun.
"Take a seat" Ailen said as he pointed to the chair in the middle of the room. '
I sat down "What now?"
"First, I'll have to explain something." He said, "Ubel, do you believe in different worlds?" He continued.
"It's difficult to answer when you ask me like this, I would normally consider it crazy but when you ask me in a place like this, it gets kind of difficult to answer" I answered his question.
"Well the correct answer is: I don't really know, but the possibility is high!" He said with a smile on his face.
"OK, and I am going to guess that you need me to further that research?" "You are just too good at guessing. I briefly know the requirements for entering this world. I don't really know if humans can enter at all. However, I do know that in order to enter you need a strong soul, strong body and a lot of talent. Which I apparently don't have."
"Do I have a strong soul?" I asked him.
"Frankly, I don't know. What I do know however, is that it isn't dangerous to try and enter this world, and that time flows different in this mysterious world."
"How do you know that time flows differently in that world?" I asked him, it's probably something stupid.
"I managed to send a plant trough once. It was the effort of trial and error. At the time I thought I would never see it again, but after one day it just appeared in front of this railgun again. Wanna know the weirdest thing about it? It didn't change one bit. So, I decided to test this a little more, and I wound up discovering some things. See I have them documented here" Ailen hands me a list that has the following points inscribed on it:
1. The requirements to enter the 'gate', is to have strong body and talent, I discovered this by sending several items through the gate.
2. People of old age seemingly can't enter.
3. Animals and sentient beings tend to 'change' when returning. Not to their physical bodies, but their mental state changes drastically, this may point to 'memory preservation'.
4. Trying to send any items that are created by the use of modern technology seems to have failed.
5. Sending a Katana through worked, it was really expensive to find a Katana of such quality though. This may imply that the world refuses modern technology because it's stuck in a medieval like world.
6. I tried to send a bird that had a camera imbued into it's body. It came back with low resolution pictures full of static.
7. I tried the same thing, but this time with a dog. I specially made a camera to fit the dogs eye coloring. And then planted the camera in the eye. The dog came back with great results, the footage seems to be that of a fantasy world, but the movie gets cut once the dog is shot by a hunter. The dog returned in perfect state.
8. In the video I saw evolved races like: Orcs, kobolds and cat siths. I am trying to replicate that by using a horse with a camera for an eye. The horse was strong and had good qualities. It didn't work. I tried 15 times, and then it worked, the horse evolved into a centaur.
9. Attempts at communication with the centaur has proven, difficult. It does speak some sort of language, but it's weird and hard to understand. For now, I'll name it Daiki.
I read the note. A different world huh. "So, you have a centaur called Daiki?" I asked.
"Out of all the things you could've asked for" He answered.
"It's important" He said, "No it's not" "The centaur is important, I want to see how much different it is from an actual horse"
"You will be able to see it as how much you want if you can manage to get through to other world." "Really?" I am excited.
"Yes, but please don't do anything weird, they highly value their pride." He said, and leaned towards the wall.
"So, how will I look like when I reincarnate?" I asked him, I don't want to wind up looking weird.
"You will look like yourself, but if you become a race that isn't human your looks will automatically change to fit that race. Don't worry though, it will only be slight changes like getting longer ears if you become an elf." "Is that so" "Yep".
"Alright I will cross over to other world, but on two conditions."
"What is it?" Ailen asked, he seems very excited for this.
"I don't want my personality to change and Albert, Raz and Netis will have to come with me" That was my two requirements.
"Your personality shouldn't change much and Raz and Netis can travel, but it will depend on their talent and strength, Albert on the other hand is too old, he'll have to stay behind."
"Can you at least try to send him through?" It wouldn't be the same without him. "Yeah, but then you'll have to agree to travel." "Deal" I agreed to it fast.
After some time Raz, Netis and Albert entered the room. Ailen explained it to them and they all agreed. "I trained Ubel here so that he would be able to become a bigshot in the other world, but I'm not really sure about your strengths in battle." Ailen explained to Raz, Netis and Albert.
"Don't worry, we all have been training in different techniques and martial arts, so we should be quite strong." Netis said. "However, we still can't measure up to the Young master" Raz continued.
"Just perfect, I will start the procedure now. Please go in this order. Netis, Raz, Albert and then Ubel." Ailen said.
"Yaaay! I'm first!" Netis shouted, Ailen didn't hesitate to send her off. A small beam of light hits Netis and she was gone, it was like seeing her getting zapped away.
"Seems like it worked" Ailen proclaimed, I could see Raz swallowing her saliva as she went to be sent off next. "See you later Young master" After saying a small goodbye Raz was zapped away.
"That's a really talented pair of maids." He was surprised it worked on both of them.
Albert went up in front of the railgun looking thing. Ailen paused for a moment, "You know, I'm not really sure if this will work, especially with you who is so old." "Don't worry, I understand" Albert said, Ailen, with a flick of a switch activated the beam. As the beam hit Albert I was slightly blinded, when my eyes became clear again, the only thing I could see was Albert. Albert was still standing there.
"It's too bad that it didn't work on you, but you have to hurry up Ubel or the two maids will be left alone there for months." Ailen said in a hurry, it wasn't that he wasn't disappointed but he had already sent two people without Ubel. So, he was kind of in a hurry.
"I understand. Albert let me tell you something" I said.
"What is it?" Albert said while being a little disappointed.
"Find a way, OK" I told him.
"I will try" He said. Ailen activated the beam and the world faded before my eyes.

Both the young master and the two maids were able to leave to other world. However, I couldn't because of my old age. If I only had been born sooner. I'm tired, it is the middle of the night after all. I took off my clothes and put on my night suit. I closed my eyes and my body fell asleep, or at least it should've. I sat up, where is the bed?
"Hello? Hello? Can you hear me old man?" A little kid stood in front of me.
"Who are you?" I asked, "My name is Samuru!" The little kid said.
"Where am I? I've never heard of a place that simulates no gravity and star pictures." I asked
The kid stared at me like I was a dumb monkey, he sighed and said, "You see I owe a little something to a boy named, uhhh, Ubel was it? Anyways, this boy is traveling to a different world! Isn't that exciting?" Samuru said.
"Yes it is indeed exciting" I replied disappointed, "Couldn't come huh, but what if I told you, that you can come along with Ubel" Samuru said something interesting, I really want to be there for the Young Master.
"Can you really send me there?" "Of course, I can! Who do you think I am, some shitty kid on the street. Wait, don't answer that". The shitty kid said.
"Weren't I too old to be sent over?" "Yes, you were. However, let me tell you something", the kid bent down and whispered: "Nothing is impossible for a god" with those words, my consciousness faded. Where I am right now, I don't know. I just hope it's not some ranch on the country side.
