Chapter 24: Plan Sparta
The world in Alex's dantian had grown to 10 acres overnight.
The earth, trees, grass, and giant lake within the world had all been infused with five-transformation origin qi. He could have gone to 15 acres if he hurried his cultivation, however, he liked this leisurely pace.
Reaching 10 acres of origin land also signified that he had officially stepped into the first level of the semi-devil realm.
His nine suns had also grown to twice the size growing from 24 inches to 48 inches, also allowing him to fully step into the first level of the demigod realm.
Slowly bringing his energy absorption to a halt, Alex stood up and stretched his body somewhat lazily. Having spent the night and most of the morning cultivating, it was almost time for the meeting he had organized yesterday.
But first, he wanted to get something to eat. Alex walked towards the wooden door and out of the room.
"Your Highness!"
Jeffrey immediately appeared in front of Alex with his right hand on his heart and bowed.
"Jeffrey, is there anything good to eat in this village?" Alex acknowledged Jeffrey and continued walking down the hall to the stairs.
"Yes, Your Highness, I've asked the village chief to prepare a feast for you in the dining room downstairs." Jeffrey followed after Alex in a routine-like manner.
"Ohh, Alright," Alex looked forward to seeing what this village had to offer in terms of food. Going down the stairs, Alex patted his stomach in anticipation. The night of cultivation had refueled his energy levels but somehow, he felt a craving for food.
Perhaps he had overworked his body taking on two different types of energy. Reaching the downstairs area of the building, Alex slowed down and let Jeffrey lead the way. He had no idea where the dining room was.
Jeffrey led Alex to the second room on the right down the hallway. Inside the room, the nine disciples seemed to be waiting for Alex and Jeffrey. Alex walked into the room after Jeffrey and looked at the tables of food with disciples sitting around them.
Ice Jr, Thunder Jr, and Fire Jr all sat at the table to the left of the room. Emperor Jr, Beast Jr, and Sword Jr all sat at the table in the center of the room. Dragon Sr, Hell Jr, and Heaven Jr all sat at the table to the right of the room.
All three wooden tables had four seats, and all of them had three disciples sitting at them. Alex inwardly sighed at this situation; it was obvious what the disciples were doing.
"Greetings, Master!" The disciples greeted Alex and Jeffrey as they walked through the door. Alex nodded and walked to the table that interested him the most, not caring for whatever game his disciples were playing.
Sitting at the table to the right of the room, Alex said "What's for lunch?"
"Master, the village chief is on the way with the food as we speak. I can hardly wait!" Dragon Sr spoke excitingly.
Alex nodded, "Good, good!" Slightly turning his eyes to look at the other tables, Jeffrey sat at the middle table with Beast Jr and the others. Alex nearly laughed as he saw the look on Emperor Jr's face as he sneaked some looks over at the right table.
Over at the very left table, Alex also saw his disciples pouting and sneaking some looks his way. Looking at Dragon Sr, Alex smiled and asked, "Anything interesting happened lately?"
The attention of the room seemed to focus on Dragon Sr.
"Huh," Dragon Sr looked confused at Alex for a second before scratching his head, "Um, let me think quickly."
Sword Jr at the table left for Dragon Sr, let out a breath and shook his head.
"Um, nothing really interesting happened other than the commotion you caused while training yesterday, master."
"Oh," Alex looked knowingly at Dragon Sr and asked with a faint smile, "What about you breaking through?"
Dumbfounded, Dragon Sr rubbed his head helplessly while the eyes of everyone were on him.
"Aww, come on Master, I was waiting for someone to challenge me again so I could surprise them with my breakthrough," Dragon Sr said jokingly while playfully looking at Emperor Jr.
Emperor Jr's eyebrows twitched at Dragon Sr's slight provocations, "Hmph! Why do I need to challenge you again? The fact that I broke through first already shows who the real genius is. You might as well call me Emperor Sr already!"
Dragon Sr's left fist clenched, "I'll take you on anywhere anytime if you want my Sr title!"
Alex ignored the bickering between Dragon Sr and Emperor Jr and turned to Heaven Jr. He could hear the trickle of qi continuously rotating inside him. Heaven Jr was cultivating in this situation.
Alex shook his head, "It's good to take a break now and then."
Heaven Jr raised his head, "Yes, Master."
The door of the dining room opened, and five different people came in carrying plates in their hands. Setting the plates down on the tables, the room was immediately filled with various smells of meat and spices. After the village folks left the room, only the village chief who entered behind them was left.
"Our village doesn't have much, but we hunt and cook the very best dishes we can," Looking at the three plates set on the table she went on, "On the left plates we have roasted giant boar meat, on the middle plates we have grilled spirit chicken meat and on the right plates we have red pearlfish meat. We also have spirit leaf tea to wash down the meat"
"That looks so good!" Dragon Sr yelled out. Alex looked at him in surprise and saw the rest of his disciples also looking at the food with greed. Only then did he remember that not long ago, his disciples had been a slave, and they might not have eaten as well as he did.
Alex secretly sighed, "Dig in." At that moment, he had decided to give his disciples everything they could ever want.
"Your Highness, May I join you?"
A meek voice sounded as Alex and his disciples started to eat. Alex turned and saw village chief Lara looking at him.
"Mhm Yes," Alex nodded his head. A bright smile appeared on chief Lara's face and she moved to seat with Ice Jr and the others.
...
"Ahhh, that was great!" Dragon Sr voiced out as he walked out of the room, Beast Jr followed behind him nodding his head.
The disciples and Chief Lara left the room one by one until only Alex and Jeffrey were left. Alex was still in his seat eating sipping on a cup of spirit leaf tea`. The spirit tea leaf wasn't bad, Alex thought. It was light and sweet, leaving a great aftertaste in his mouth.
Taking a final sip and letting out a sigh, Alex put down the cup in his hand. It was finally time for the meeting. Getting up, Alex stretched and moved towards the door with Jeffrey following behind him.
In the meeting room next door, the nine disciples and chief Lara were already sitting and waiting on Alex. Without wasting much time, Alex came through the door and walked to his seat at the head of the table.
Looking around the familiar room, Alex's eyes settled on the village chief once again. A quiet spread through the room and nobody spoke.
Alex sat back lazily and tapped his left index finger on the table comfortably as he looked nonstop at the village chief. It wasn't until he saw the sweat coming off the chief that he stopped his rhythmic tapping of the wooden table.
"Why is she sweating?" Alex thought. He was trying to figure out what to do with the village chief and where she could fit in with his plans.
"Lara," This was the first time he'd called her by her name, "What's the current situation of the forest biome in your opinion?"
Lara, who was sweating and breathing kind of hard, felt a pressure lift as she heard Alex's question. She quickly calmed her head and thought deeply about the question, feeling that this was a test of sorts.
"The current forest biome is in chaos. The other nine villages defeated by your disciples are without strong leadership and soon many families will start fighting in the background for the position of the village chief. The spirit beast in the forest has also been making suspicious movement and seem to be gathering somewhere. A lot more spirit beast corpses are appearing as well, possibly meaning a shift is happening in territories."
Alex listened to Lara speak and occasionally nodded as she spoke.
"Good, this is good. We can finally start implementing part one of plan Sparta," Alex looked around the table as he said this.
"What's plan Sparta, Master?" Thunder Jr asked for everyone.
"Naturally, that's how I'm going to win the battle of the throne!" Alex answered confidently.
Another silence went through the room as the words reverberated off the walls. Jeffrey was the most shocked of all after hearing Alex speak so confidently, he couldn't help but ask, "How, Your Highness?"
Alex smiled,
"We're going to build a city!"
