Chapter 2: 33 Heavens
Stirring from his sleep, Jacob awoke in the strange space again, silence now reigned over the space - the silence just adding to the eeriness of the surroundings..
"Finally awake, Heaven's Aid 9213541?" The voice from before had disappeared replaced by a more robotic, almost metallic voice - like an old man on his death bed yet as vibrant as a young man at the prime of his life, the voice sounded out in harmony with the space.
"Heaven's Aid..." Jacob stared in shock, before now the space had been empty - why had it just now decided to speak out?
"Your Military Rank is too low to view the information related to this topic, now please refrain from your mindless chatter - the heads of humans really are too complicated."
Closing his mouth, not daring to utter another sentence in fear of angering this existence before him Jacob glanced around with a shocked expression - his thoughts simply not conveyable by words alone.
"Now if you will, you are the stylist's Heaven's Candidate of this Heaven, please refrain from your questions - everything shall be answered shortly."
The space was suddenly flooded with light and the desolateness replaced with 33 planets floating in orbit like the electrons of an atom, in the centre of them was a blindingly bright star shackled in chains.
"These are the 33 Heavens, this here..." A specific planet was pulled forward towards Jacob, it's surface almost entirely blue - beautiful and serene.. "Is your Heaven, or as how your people refer to them 'planets.' Each of the Heaven's exist in a separate dimension, all connected yet hidden from the others for now..."
The voice paused for a moment, as if organizing its thoughts - before continuing abruptly after a period of time.
"In the beginning, the Heavens created all 33 of these Heavens - the star in the middle is the immortal realm, ignore its existence - your Military Level is too low to understand its nature. Continuing, all the Heavens are a body of 'Heaven' split into 33 different parts, you are the 9213541th Heaven Aid selected from this planet - for the time being the only task Heaven has given you is to grow in strength and do not get caught by the descendants of the immortals on this planet."
Before Jacob could even respond, he already found himself awake in his bed - a cold sweat spreading from his forehead, despite his overwhelming desire to bury the memory deep into his subconscious, he knew it was real...
"Don't forget my words child, NOW CULTIVATE!"
Out of nowhere, the voice sounded again - ringing from the very depths of his mind. "Ahhhhgh!" Screams of agony echoed out of his mouth yet no sound came out, only the motions..
As if by instinct, Jacobs body moved into the Lotus position which had been engraved onto his mind before hand. His entire body radiating heat as the air distorted around him, light bent as he sat on his bed - his figure not even clearly visible anymore, both everywhere and nowhere.

"Sigh... When will this end, this Child clearly has abysmal talent - yet the Heaven's still chose him, are we getting that desperate!?" The voice from Jacobs mind spoke to itself within the depths of the space - it's figure barely discernible as it darted around, out of madness or frustration - only it would know.
"Looks like the kid's about to breakthrough to Heaven Mediator Phase 1 Lower Stage - if he can break through to Phase 1 Upper Stage within a month I will accept him as my master... If not.."
A decisive glint could be seen from the darkness before disappearing into the darkness again."

On the bed where Jacob had been cultivating, a thick layer of black gunk had spread itself over his body - solidifying into a layer of deathly aura. All the impurities that Jacob had accumulated throughout his lifetime had been expelled all at once - of course only partly, a completely pure body was only something a genius could achieve, at the moment Jacob had only expelled around 30% of the overall impurities indicating his talent was on the lowest rungs of society..
"Damn this stinks! What the hell, the sheets don't get washed for another month - damn it!"
Jacob hadn't even fully registered the existence of his newfound powers before having an outburst at the state of his bed - the sheets had only just been replaced yesterday, it would be a full month before he'd have anywhere clean to sleep again.
Quickly pulling the sheets to the small bathroom in his apartment he used the small amount of clean water he had accumulated and a small amount of drinking water to try and remove the stain caused by his cultivation while also removing the remaining impurities on his body.
"Truly hopeless..." Finally giving up after an intense hour battle Jacob was in tears, before finally dragging his eyes off the wreck of a sheet he had left in the now dirty water, he took a step back and looked at his body - his once skinny physique had increased in size, although not massively - his small frame had a lean muscular tone to it rather than the skinny malnourished look he had before.
"Whoa... Amazing, my entire body seems to be full of energy, and I no longer feel any hunger! It's as if I can feel a stream of energy being given to me by the world nourishing my whole body!"
Awe-struck Jacob forgot the time as he stood there in a daze, his entire worldly logic had come crashing down around him - "Finally... Finally I can rise above being a slave!" With a look of defiance on his face for the first time in his life, Jacob could raise his head high.
....
"Idiot, if you think you have the capital to be arrogant go ahead and try.. Your life is insignificant to me anyway.." Despite it's words, the existence carried a tone of apprehension, as if wanting to warn the child it was overseeing against any actions that could harm him...
