Azan didn't stick around after giving his speech and Azreal didn't run to Nala to tell her he'd changed his mind, Azan words really did make him have second thoughts but it still didn't change any of the facts.
Pushing the thoughts aside Azreal went back into meditation for three days, for those three days, no one came to disturb him.
Opening his eyes Azreal decided to go check on the blacksmith to see what he had gotten done so far since technically only two days remained.
Walking around Azreal could help but smile, he'd been inside for almost five days straight so now being outside in the fresh air felt new.
…..
Walking around back Azreal saw Alyon hammering away so he didn't say any just walked over in silence, behind Alyon was a check filled with Scythe.
'Failed products?'
Looking at the scythes in the chest, all of them felt like they were dead, he couldn't explain the feeling, they just felt lifeless.
With a thought, Azreal tries to pour a little energy in the scythe but it wouldn't enter, the energy didn't even leave the palm of his hand.
He originally didn't plan on disturbing Alyon but after looking at the scythe in the chest as well as the one he was hammering away it, he had to intervene.
All of them were just a blade with a rod through it.
"Is that how the final product is going to look? And none of those feel alive"
Alyon hadn't noticed him all this time, his mind was solely focused on what he was doing, it wasn't until he heard the voice that he came out of his trance.
Finding Azreal standing beside him he nodded at him.
"Most would ask how close it is to completion, mhmm you don't like the design? and those? they're are dead"
Looking back at the chest filled with weapons, Azreal was a bit surprised that Alyon would say that they were dead since he never knew they could be alive.
"No I don't like it, why would you call them dead?"
Alyon nodded at Azreal and got back to hammering.
"That's fine, when you're leaving just tell the receptionist and you both can come up with a design, I've almost mastered it so by tomorrow I'll start crafting the real thing. Weapons are supposed to grow with the wielder, those won't"
Azreal didn't bother asking any follow-up questions since Alyon was clearly shooing him politely and he'd already fallen back into his trance.
Telling the receptionist what Alyon said, she nodded with a smile and took out a piece of paper and coal to start sketching what Azreal wanted.
What Azreal expected to only take a few minutes took over three hours, he'd only expected to give the design and that's it but he had to give dimension, color, etc, she even went as far as taking his measurements.
When he asked why she was only doing all of this now she told him that she was going to do it but only when Master Alyon was ready to forge the final product.
While walking back home he couldn't help subconsciously looking up at the window where he'd seen Nala but she wasn't there.
Taking a deep Azreal decided to go talk to her if she was there, once he got into the house he wasn't sure where to go so he had to ask one of the maidservants, the maid didn't hesitate in point out the direction of the room, all the servants had seen him several times before so they had no reason to hold back.
Following the directions the maid gave he found the door in no time.
Knock
"Come" He heard Nala's aloof voice on the other side of the door.
Azreal didn't bother announcing himself and just walked right into the room and he was stunned the moment he walked in, Nala had her back turned to him completely exposed.
When he walked in she'd just started trying to take off her clothes but she couldn't get the straps in the middle, it looked like she thought it was the maid because she was waiting for some help.
Not wanting to take advantage Azreal cleared his throat to make her aware of his presence, when she heard it she just turned around and nodded to him and pulled back up her dress.
She didn't want to strap back up the dress since she wanted to take it off so she just turned to face him.
"Yes?"
"Why do you want to leave here?" Azreal took a deep breath before he spoke.
Nala looked at him and smiled slightly.
"Only a fool is willing to live all their life and die in the same place that they were born"
Before coming here Azreal had already decided that maybe he should take her with him after what Azan had said he'd started to pity her but that didn't make him change his mind this was just something that he came up with when he was passing the house.
"Is that all?"
Smiling wryly Azreal nodded his head since that really was all.
"Help loosen these straps"
She turned around as spoke.
Azreal didn't hesitate for a second with helping her to loosen them but he moved slowly while doing it admiring as much as possible.
"You don't mind a man seeing you like this?"
With the straps loosened Nala stepped out of the dress exposing her completely nude backside.
"What does you seeing me like this do? Your thoughts have no bearing on reality"
Nala spoke as she walked into the bathroom.
