Chapter 23: Battle Droids Hate Hank!

Blood started flowing from the facial orifices of Hank. His face was covered in blood, sweat, and snot. Even his mutant abilities were fully suppressed by the horrifying pressure.

The armored jacket he was wearing turned into dust.

Carole was shocked by the turn of events. She never expected Kiba to attack Hank, and certainly didn't expect Hank to be this weak.

Carole had witnessed Kiba's powers before when he defeated Jack in a second. But Hank was totally different. He might seem old and fat, but he had the best resources in Delta City. He had undergone multiple experiments to enhance his physical strength, but now it seemed all the money went to waste. In front of Kiba, he was no more than an ant.

Carole knew she had to stop Kiba; otherwise, Hank would die soon.

"Sir Kiba, stop!" Carole said as she used her super-speed to arrive next to Hank. She regretted her actions the next moment.

The pressure which was faced by Hank now started falling on her as well as the surrounding area. She too crashed on the floor with a loud bang sound.

"Who do you think you are to order me around?" Kiba coldly asked as he stepped in front of Carole. The conference table dissipated into dust while cracks started appearing on the floor.

Dust, smoke, and pieces of tiles stirred up the air, making even breathing difficult.

"I-I didn't mean to order you," Carole said with great difficulty.

Kiba's expression remained the same.

Carole never expected a womanizer like him to have such a side. He had always been cheerful when he conversed with her, but now his expression was so terrifying that it sent a chill down her spine.

"You think you can speak in such a tone just because you have a cunt?" Kiba coldly asked.

Carole felt her inner organs facing unbearable pressure. She coughed up a mouthful of blood.

BANG!

The conference room door was blasted by the battle droids.

Earlier, the electromagnetic sensors broke down from the pressure released by Kiba, and the loss of signal activated the fighting droids.

The droids were in the form of humanoid robots, carrying powerful laser guns capable of killing mutants.

Five of them aimed at Kiba and pulled the triggers.

With the sound of air ripped apart, laser beams rushed at Kiba, making the room fluctuate with a blinding glow.

Just before the laser beams could pierce him, Kiba grabbed Hank by the collar and placed him in front.

Everything happened too fast! All the droids noticed was a series of blur motions and then heard painful screams.

"Aahhhhh!"

Hank screamed.

Four beams penetrated through his arms and legs, severing them. The final beam created a large hole in his stomach.

Blood and gore splashed out of his body and fell on the floor. Kiba dropped the collar, and Hank collapsed on the gore, screaming pitifully.

"Your battle droids are really powerful!" Kiba exclaimed.

The battle droids didn't dare use laser attacks any longer. They never thought Kiba would use Hank as a human shield.

"Sir... sir Kiba. Please stop," Carole's faint voice came from behind.

The pressure had destroyed her clothes, exposing her naked flesh. She was a breathtaking beauty, but currently, her body was covered with bloodstains.

Kiba turned towards her, but there was no sign of lust in his eyes.

"I- I apologize for Sir Hank's words... please stop. You should know the position he holds in the city. If you kill him..." Carole said, her voice getting fainter with every word.

"Are you trying to scare me?" Kiba asked.

"N-no, sir. I have... no grudge against you. Please, sto.."

Carole used up all her energy before she could conclude her words. She had a hard time breathing, much less speak now. If this continued, she would die in no time.

Kiba noticed her condition and retracted the pressure. He was finally able to control his anger.

Carole greedily sucked in the air while sighing in relief.

"Thank you, sir," Carole said as she tried to rise to her feet.

"I guess I went overboard in my anger," Kiba said with a sigh. The word 'bastard' triggered memories of how he was abandoned at his birth. It reminded him of a person who used to call him an 'unwanted bastard'.

At the same time, the droids noticed Kiba getting distracted. So they once again launched a series of laser attacks on him while speeding forward.

"You guys truly hate Hank!"

Kiba exclaimed as he disappeared from his place. In the same place, the limbless body of Hank appeared.

"Noooo!" Hank cried.

If the laser attacks landed on him again, his death was a definite outcome!

Swooosh~

Just then, an energy shield burst out from the entrance. It rolled through the air and arrived in front of Hank.

SCREECH

The laser beams crashed on the shield. Sparks flew out, and the destructive light surged back before fading away.

Even though Hank wasn't harmed, he collapsed on the floor. The shield then rotated and swept through the incoming droids like a chakra, tearing them apart.

Everything occurred in the blink of an eye!

"Oh?" Kiba was surprised. He turned towards the entrance.

A woman in white was standing with a cold expression. She was wearing glasses, and next to her, there were two men in black.

"Well~ Who might you be?" Kiba asked playfully as he checked out the woman's body.

"Hank didn't tell you about me? I was supposed to have a meeting with you," The woman coldly answered.

"Not really. If he told me a babe like you was arriving... I would have protected him from his crazy battle droids."

Even as he said this, the wall behind him exploded, and through the flying debris, two battle droids charged out.

One of them punched at Kiba's back, distorting the air with an overbearing force. The other fired multiple beams at his head.

Kiba didn't even turn around, keeping his eyes on the woman. Like tidal waves, pressure surged out of him.

RUMBLE~

The punching droid smashed down, turning into pitiful wreckage. Similarly, the pressure turned the air turbulent and heavy, forcing the beams to bend and collapse around him.

CRASH

The second droid crashed down as well!

Kiba then repeated his words again...

Chapter 24: Ultimate Sacrifice!

"Not really. If Hank had told me a babe like you was arriving... I would have protected him from his crazy battle droids."

Hank almost died when he heard these words.

"You used me as a human shield, but now... blaming battle droids?" Hank cursed.

Carole had regained enough strength to stand, but when she heard Kiba's words, she almost fell. Still, she gave a sigh of relief, knowing Hank was alive.

She had no romantic feelings for Hank, but she wanted him to live. Hank's death would plunge the White Angel Corporation into crisis. Carole had earned influence and power in the company after years of struggle, and she didn't want to lose them.

If an organization lacks a capable leader, then it becomes vulnerable. For better or worse, Hank was the only person capable of handling the organization. If Jack took over, she feared the company wouldn't survive for long.

"Sighs. I need to find another job just in case. Kiba disagreed with a raid on Sky Fiend Group. He definitely found something alarming in the mission, seeing how stubborn he was in his refusal. And knowing Hank's personality, he wouldn't give up on the technology even though Kiba declined. There is a good chance the company might be destroyed... I need to plan for the worst-case scenario," Carole thought.

----------------

The woman in white ignored Kiba's words and moved towards Hank.

"It seems I overestimated you," the woman said as she crouched down. Hank didn't say anything in return. He knew he had ruined his reputation.

One of the men in black handed the woman a syringe and a small bottle containing gray liquid. She filled the syringe with the liquid and injected it into Hank's chest.

Within seconds, the bleeding stopped. His stomach had a hole, but now that part regenerated with new tissues and veins. Even the missing limbs started regenerating.

"So you are a cockroach specialist?" Kiba asked. The woman in white ignored his words and turned towards Carole.

"When will you summon the medical unit?" The woman impatiently asked.

"Lady Lisa, the medical unit is coming," Carole replied.

Just as she finished speaking, a medical unit of ten doctors stepped inside. There were a hundred guards as well, some of whom were mutants who had summoned their powers for attacking Kiba.

"Earlier, the battle droids wanted to kill Hank. Now your human guards. Does no one here like Hank?" Kiba asked.

"Step down!" Hank shouted. He didn't want to suffer the pain of losing his limbs again. He knew for sure that Kiba would use him as a human shield if the guards attacked.

The guards were confused, but they did as Hank commanded.

A few minutes later, more people arrived: Jack, Eva, Richard, Agatha, and other high-ranking members. They were shocked by what they saw.

"Kiba, what have you done?" Jack angrily asked. How could he not be angry to see his father in such a state?

"Want me to demonstrate what I have done?" Kiba answered.

"Son of--"

"Jack, shut up!" Hank ordered. He didn't want Jack to suffer what he had suffered.

Even in his worst nightmares, he never expected someone to trample on him as if he were an ant.

"Kiba, you have trampled on me while I was alone. But if I had brought the hidden weapons... you would be dead!" Hank thought. Still, he felt bitterness in his heart at the gap in power between him and Kiba.

"I need to re-evaluate the data I have on Kiba. He is most likely the strongest mutant in Delta City!"

He regretted his earlier actions. If he hadn't said those words, then perhaps he would still be on good terms with Kiba.

Alas, there was no medicine for regret.

---------

Kiba turned towards Hank as if he could feel Hank's hostility.

"You need to dismantle your battle droids. What will the world think if a weapon manufacturer like you is selling such flawed weapons?" Kiba smiled as he continued, "'Battle droids attacking their master' would be a great headline for newspapers."

"YOU!" Hank interjected. He didn't want to say anything as he was afraid he might provoke this fiend again.

---------

"You were going to do me a favor by hosting a meeting between me and Kiba. But now, it seems I did you the greatest favor of your worthless life," the woman in white said as the doctors put Hank on a stretcher.

"Lisa Rey, thank you," Hank said in a bitter voice. He thought she would owe him a favor if he helped her in meeting Kiba. Instead, he now owed her a great favor.

"I don't need a thank you," Lisa Rey said before walking towards Kiba.

"Well~ You seemed to be interested in meeting me?" Kiba asked.

"I have something I need to discuss with you," Lisa plainly answered.

"Shall we discuss it somewhere else? The room is filled with a terrible smell," Kiba said.

"Sure."

------------

Kiba and Lisa moved towards an adjacent room. The guards or the members of Hank's family didn't say anything.

Two men in black closed the door of the room after Lisa and Kiba went inside.

The room had a few sofas and chairs along with a minibar. It also had a large 3D projector for watching TV.

Kiba and Lisa sat in two opposite sofas.

"Very rarely have I ever seen a mutant turning his powers of physical enhancement into a domain. You turned your physical strength into pressure and applied it to Hank... I must say, that was interesting," Lisa praised him.

"Oh? You arrived much earlier before your entry?" Kiba asked.

"I arrived when Carole tried to stop you," Lisa answered.

"I see," Kiba continued with a smile on his face, "You could have saved Hank from terrible pain, but you didn't. What a vicious woman you are."

"If I had helped him before, then he wouldn't be that grateful for my help," Lisa explained with a slight smirk, "But saving him on the brink of death is a different matter."

"Smart woman," Kiba nodded his head in understanding.

"I am only doing what could help me help the world in the long run," Lisa concluded.

"Is that so?" Kiba asked.

"Yes."

A moment later, Kiba inquired, "So what is it you want to discuss?"

A moment later, Kiba inquired, "So what is it you want to discuss?"

"Let me introduce myself first," Lisa took out an identity card from her purse and showed it to Kiba. "I am a Level III scientist from the World Government."

She was surprised to see Kiba having a nonchalant expression even after hearing her status as a representative of the government.

"What can I do for you?" Kiba asked casually.

"Not for me, but for the world," Lisa corrected him.

"For the world?" Kiba was intrigued.

"Yes. I want to research your DNA and genes for helping the world," Lisa said with a sweet smile on her face. "You are so young and yet one of the strongest mutants in Delta City. Imagine how powerful and different you are on a cellular level from ordinary mutants."

"What are you trying to say by bringing my strength into the discussion?" Kiba asked with curiosity.

"Mutants like you have a strong resistance to the diseases which the age of evolution brought," Lisa's voice turned sweet, like a nightingale. "Think about how many deaths we can prevent from epidemics. Not only diseases, but we can also help those poor normal humans whom nature hasn't blessed with evolution!"

"Help?" Kiba was totally focused on her words as if her voice were hypnotic.

"Yes," Lisa nodded, her eyes locked on his. "The betterment of the world depends on you! Your name would be forever recorded in the annals of our history as long as you agree to a few experiments!"

Kiba's expression was one of excitement as he heard her words. Lisa couldn't help but smirk seeing Kiba's expression.

"No one can escape from my hypnotic voice. Not even the great Kiba!"

Lisa was laughing inside for the process being much easier than she thought.

"It's good anyway; otherwise, there would be a lot of damage for me in Plan B."

Deep in most people's hearts, there was a desire to be known by the world. To become a hero revered by the people.

Lisa was confident she could awaken this desire even in the most villainous person through her hypnotic voice.

"For the betterment of the world..." Kiba murmured in a passionate voice, "For the research purpose..."

"Do you agree?" Lisa asked in a soft and pleasant voice.

"Yes!"

Kiba nodded his head.

"If it means helping the world, then I don't have any choice but to sacrifice myself."

Kiba's voice and expression were of a man who has found his calling in life.

Lisa couldn't help but smile, knowing he had fallen into her trap.

Kiba left the couch and slowly opened up his shirt.

The smile on Lisa's lips faded, and her pleasant expression was replaced with shock.

"What are you doing!?"

Lisa asked in a startled voice.

"I am getting ready to help the world," Kiba stated matter-of-factly. "You should undress as well so that we can start."

"Undress?" Lisa couldn't understand his words.

"I can't transfer my DNA inside you if you are wearing clothes," Kiba answered as if it were obvious.

"What do you mean!?" Lisa was having a hard time making sense of his actions.

"For the betterment of the world, you need my DNA," Kiba said as he continued to unbutton his shirt. "Isn't impregnating you and other women the best way for the world to benefit most from my DNA and genes?"

"Impregnating?" Lisa muttered in disbelief.

"Yes, by the process of impregnating, my DNA can spread around the world, and more people could benefit!"

Kiba explained as he threw away the shirt and showcased his well-built muscles.

"Our children can also spread my DNA and help the world!"

"You!" Lisa was incensed. She never expected her words to have such an effect.

Did the hypnosis fail?!

Or does this guy truly believe 'sharing' DNA in such a way is the best way to help the world!?

"You don't have to feel guilty about my sacrifice!"

Kiba said in a heavy but passionate voice.

"For the betterment of the world, I don't mind sleeping with you!"

His expression was that of a man on a Holy Mission!

He was ready for the ultimate sacrifice as long as it benefited the world!
