"Son of a bitch!"
Jack teetered on the brink of madness. The guards swiftly intervened, preventing him from making any regrettable moves.
It took around ten guards restraining him before Jack managed to regain his composure.
"Sir Kiba, enough," Carole interjected, positioning herself between them. "Let's not discuss the incident with Lady Agatha."
Jack had already suffered one beating. She had no intention of witnessing a repeat performance.
"I'm the innocent party in all this," Kiba retorted. "Jack was the one tarnishing my reputation. I was merely highlighting how unjust it is for people to malign me when all I'm doing is aiding those in need."
"I'd prefer if you refrained from mentioning Lady Agatha in your conversations," Carole reiterated firmly.
Jack took a deep breath, knowing he couldn't afford to lose his cool. If he wanted to thwart the date between Kiba and Carole, he had to tarnish Kiba's image.
Jack signaled to Richard, who understood the message instantly. Richard couldn't stand the thought of Kiba winning over a woman like Carole.
Although he had Eva, for someone like him, the more the merrier. However, he couldn't tolerate his woman being involved with others, even if they weren't technically his.
"Carole, you can't go on a date with Kiba," Richard addressed her directly.
"Sir Richard, I wasn't aware I needed your permission regarding my personal life," Carole retorted, tired of men's nonsense. She had no interest in being objectified or fought over like some prize. She had her own ambitions and dreams and refused to be confined to the role of someone's woman.
"You misunderstand me. I'm simply cautioning you against Kiba. He's not relationship material," Richard clarified. "He's known for sleeping with married women and participating in orgies. He might have been with someone's wife or girlfriend just before arriving here."
Eva, standing behind Richard, blinked. She couldn't help but smile at his words.
"You clueless fiancé, you have no idea how right you are!" Eva thought to herself.
Quickly masking her smile, she reverted to her usual persona—shy and reserved, the epitome of femininity.
"Not to mention his history of infidelity. He's notorious for juggling multiple women simultaneously," Richard continued, seeking to bolster his case by highlighting Kiba's sordid past. "How can you consider dating a man who knows nothing of loyalty?"
"........"
"He's the epitome of a womanizer! Every woman should steer clear of someone like him!"
Carole remained silent. She was well aware of Kiba's scandalous reputation. Her decision to go on a date with him was made after careful consideration of all the facts.
She was mature enough to understand the man she was dealing with. Besides, it was just a date, not a marriage.
"Hey, Richard! Are you forgetting I'm here?" Kiba interjected with a smirk.
He wasn't bothered by Jack and Richard's words. He had made advances toward Carole on numerous occasions, so their opinion of him held little weight. Carole was already aware of his affairs and reputation.
However, that didn't mean he would let Richard and Jack off the hook. He might tolerate criticism from a woman, but from men, it was a different story.
"Tell me, what harm have I done by assisting women in need?" Kiba challenged Jack and Richard.
"Assisting women in need?" The audacity of Kiba's shamelessness left everyone stunned.
Is having an affair with someone's wife considered assisting a woman in need?
Is dating multiple women simultaneously considered aiding those in need?
How could someone be so shameless?
You're nothing but a womanizer!
"Every woman desires to be appreciated for her beauty," Kiba responded respectfully. "I express my appreciation through lovemaking."
Carole: "....."
"Is there a greater way to demonstrate admiration than through love?"
Carole: "...."
Kiba sighed deeply, wearing a solemn expression as if burdened by the world's misunderstanding.
"Beauty unappreciated is the greatest sin of all!"
Sighs. As I look back, I regret writing the starting chapters including this one.
"I don't discriminate among beauties, regardless of their ethnicity. Whether a woman is married or single doesn't matter to me," Kiba continued with a solemn expression. "I don't even care if a woman is a virgin or not. To me, beauty is beauty, to be appreciated and loved."
Kiba sighed and shook his head, as if no one in the world could comprehend the weight of the burden he carried.
Carole: "...."
Jack and Richard were speechless. They didn't know how to counter such a shameless individual, whose thick skin seemed impenetrable even by a bullet.
Even Eva—who knew Kiba best—was at a loss for words. If she didn't know him so well, she might have believed he meant what he said. But knowing his true nature, she understood he was only trying to provoke Jack and Richard. Others might not see through his façade, but she did.
"You could say I am a universal admirer of beauty," Kiba concluded.
UNBELIEVABLY SHAMELESS!
Do you consider your promiscuous behavior a sign of universal admiration?!?
How can the gods permit such a shameless individual to exist in this world!?
He deserves to be struck by a bolt of lightning for uttering such words!
"Carole, let's go meet that old man," Kiba reminded her. He had had enough of fooling around and wanted to focus on his original goal.
"Ah, yes!" Carole regained her composure and replied affirmatively.
Part of her regretted accepting the date proposal.
"Surely he won't behave like this during the date, right?" Carole wondered to herself.
From what she knew, he had never spoken like this before. She hoped for the best as she guided Kiba to the elevator.
They were currently on the 83rd floor of the White Angel Corporation.
...
Chairman Hank awaited them on the 90th floor. The entire floor was reserved for VIP guests, boasting multiple lounges and entertainment facilities.
Kiba, Carole, Eva, Richard, Jake, and others arrived on the floor.
As the company owner, Hank had his pride. He couldn't go out to personally welcome Kiba, but he also knew the importance of pleasing him. Hence, he greeted him personally here.
Hank Webley appeared to be in his early fifties, bald, with a noticeable beer belly indicating his lack of physical activity.
"Welcome to my humble abode," Hank said as he stepped forward to hug Kiba.
"Humble indeed," Kiba chuckled. "You're so modest that I envy your humility."
He quickly disengaged from the hug. He preferred hugging women, not men.
"I'm sure you'll surpass me in due time," Hank replied.
"Only time will tell," Kiba responded. "But before anything else..."
"Ask me anything, my friend," Hank said, smiling broadly.
"Is Eva truly your daughter?" Kiba inquired with a pensive expression.
"Absolutely, she's my daughter," Hank declared proudly.
"That's truly surprising!"
Kiba remarked, looking genuinely astonished.
"I can't fathom how a man as unattractive as you could father someone as beautiful as Eva!"
Carole, Eva, Jack, and Richard winced. They couldn't believe he had insulted one of the most influential men in Delta City so casually.
"Haha, Eva's mother was stunning, so she fortunately inherited her genes," Hank replied, laughing. He had plenty of experience dealing with Kiba and knew he had to indulge his eccentricities.
Although it sounded like banter, Hank understood that Kiba was trying to provoke him into making a misstep. Despite his pride, Hank knew better than to be riled by such petty insults.
Those in high positions had to develop thick skin; otherwise, their adversaries would exploit their vulnerabilities.
As Hank thought about his son's past behavior, he couldn't help but feel disappointed. He even questioned if his son was fit to be his successor, but with Eva being a woman, how could he pass his throne to her?
"I see," Kiba nodded, seeming to understand. "That makes sense."
Richard clenched his fists. Eva was his fiancée, and yet Kiba was making derogatory remarks about her in front of him.
"Kiba, let's proceed. You must be tired from your encounter with the mutants from the Sky Fiend Group," Hank suggested, guiding Kiba toward a lounge.
"You have no idea how grueling my battles were," Kiba remarked, recalling his three rounds of 'battles' with Eva.
"I've prepared some refreshments for you!" Hank's smile hinted at the type of refreshments awaiting Kiba.
"Oh?" Kiba raised an eyebrow in surprise. He could imagine the kind of refreshments Hank had in store.
Hank instructed the others to leave as he and Kiba entered the lounge. Carole sighed, knowing Kiba would never change.
...
The lounge was lavish, equipped with modern amenities and a minibar. Two scantily clad women stood behind the bar, busy preparing three glasses of wine.
"I'm sure you recognize them from the movies, but just in case, let me introduce them to you," Hank began the formalities.
The woman on the left was Olivia, while the one on the right was Katey. Both were actresses in mainstream films.
Olivia was a brunette with striking blue eyes, a voluptuous figure, and ample bosom. Katey was a blonde with captivating black eyes, natural curves, and a rounded ass. They embodied the allure of the entertainment industry.
"Kiba, I'll leave you in the capable hands of these ladies. I'm sure they're ready to serve you some delightful refreshments," Hank said as he exited the lounge.
"I'm sure they are."
