Hi everyone. I have some sad news as I have decided to stop writing RSK.
But do not fear I will not leave you hanging and wondering how this all ends as I will share everything I have pre-written below, starting from the latest released chapter to the ending of the novel.
I have a lot of ROUGH stuff prepared, I will try to be as concise as possible as it simply impossible for me to detail hundred of chapters worth of content in one chapter.
So I will try to give you the main story point of each arcs and the funny moments I have already prepared for it. So most arc's notes will have a "Story" and "Funny moment" part.
The further we go, the less I have planned for the novel, meaning, the shorter and less descriptive each note will be.
Unfortunately I can not add all events and jokes I have written as some would require too much context to be realistically explained.
Again, please understand this is a very rough script, with most of the interactions between the characters, dialogues, character development stripped out. Otherwise this would be 2000 pages long, at least.
And finally, I have also added the ending I have had in mind since the beginning of the novel. Unfortunately, I can not work on it as much as I had planned to, as I lack time, but also because the story is constantly evolving and the ending would have been heavily influenced by preceding chapters.
****** ****** ******
Before sharing my notes and the rest of the plot, I wish to quickly explain why I am stopping here.
It's really only due to a lack of time. The past few weeks have been exhausting for me, as I have a full job which takes roughly 10 hours per day (from when I leave home to when I return, so I am counting travel and lunch break.).
I am also running a very successful youtube channel dedicated to pc hardware. This takes roughly 5 to 6 hours of my time every day, making a total of 15 to 16 hours already set aside for those two activities. My wife understands as this is bringing a lot of revenue for us, but it doesn't leave me a lot of time to spend with her.
Lately both activities have taken even more of my time, and I had to push my channel activities into the late night, this past week I had to work two all-nighters on top of my usual schedule so that I can push content online, and the rest of the week only allowed me for 4 hours of sleep a night. Adding a third activity (RSK) is just killing me, not to mention that I had to drop all my side hobbies, like gaming and reading books and novels. It came to a point where I had no choice but to stop writing. I didn't want to just disappear and let you guys wonder if I would be back or not. So let's end it with a bang!
I'll be frank I FREAKING love Mia and Chris. I actually had tears as I put into words the ending.
Damn it!
I only wish my english was better, so that I could honor them as they deserve!

Current ARC - Securing the northern part of the kingdom.
The next 3 chapters would be about the meeting with the elves envoy. This part is more developed as I already have written quite a bit of it.
Story :
Camus, Selv, Sana as well as an escort of maids and bodyguards came to visit Brine City to meet and discuss potential cooperation.
Camus objectives is to find out if this place is the reason he was sent here, for this he hopes to gather as much information as possible through interacting with the camp's leader.
While Chris' objective is to see what he can get from the elves.
Most of the meeting would be an exchange of information.
For example the elves offered the location of the human settlements their scouts found as an ice breaker. They also made sure to point out one particularly large settlement, headed by a prince of the previous kingdom.
But they also brought a gift in the form of an artefact weapon that originated from one of their own dungeon.
Chris in exchange managed to trick the elves into lending a small squad of archers to help with their next battle where they plan to eliminate the Kunalls main camp in the south east.
During the meeting Camus detects magical energy coming from the nearby forest, it's due to the dungeon there, which gives shivers to Chris and his people, but they manage to convince Camus that an hermit mage lives there and does not like to be disturbed. Camus is a little suspicious but the excuse seems believable to him as he would have been surprised if they didn't get any help from someone powerful to protect the camp. He still send little Lilac to investigate, but a powerful female voice echoes in the forest to shoo her away. "This is my territory leave!". We, the readers, don't know who this voice belongs to.
Funny stuff prepared:
The 3 chapters would start with Chris and his lieutenants scrambling around to find the best place to meet the elves, Chris' insisting on needing a throne to look "Kingly".
It was decided, after much deliberations and Titus' being confident he could prepare something for the meeting, to have the meeting in the cantina as there is not enough space in Mia's tent. Titus' idea for Chris' throne being a chair, propped up on a table covered with some drapes.
The meeting would start with Chris red in the face, Mia trying to distance herself from him and the envoys being speechless.
During the meeting Camus introduces Sana and Selv. As it turns out Selv's power is to be able to completely change his appearance into someone "you don't know". Which seems so lame that everyone is left speechless.
Chris would concentrate on the meeting, but he would regularly shift his eyes to look at Camus's maids and their attention to his needs. The beautiful elves would serve juice to Camus, while on his side 'Old Man' Berg would bring him something to drink. The maids would feed Camus grapes, while Mia would just give him annoyed looks when he tried to plee to her for some attention with his eyes.
The weapon artifact gifted by Camus is a fire lance, close to unbreakable with a self-sufficient crystal core, meaning even magic less humans can bring out flames during a fight. Camus gift it to Chris as it is usually done during those meetings. Most countries keep those gifted weapons in the treasury as they are too valuable for combat.
Camus almost has a heart attack when Chris uses a fork to try and pry out the magical core. After everyone manages to convince Chris to stop, he just throws it in Berg's hand. Surprising again Camus. Chris says that since he can't get the crystal he doesn't need it, it's better in a warrior's hand.
The meeting ends with Chris using weird/probably faulty logic to bully Camus into giving him a squad or archer for the next battle.
I also wanted to have Chris make fun of Ferlin as he seemed to look at Sana a lot.

Next 3 to 4 chapters - Battle and aftermath
This would be the battle to eliminate the Kunall main squad. This is pretty similar to my first draft.
The fights will happen during the night. Chris and his troops will use traps and strategies to eliminate the Kunalls.
The battle ends with Berg using his new weapon to finish off the leader of the Kunalls.
After this, refugee recruitment in the southern part of the kingdom intensify as the retaliation from the Kunall fortress will be cruel. This is also when Carl reunites with Jane (the woman refugee he first met when scouting for a good place to build Brine City)..
Here I introduce a new plot point that will be explored later : Kunalls and slavers from a lot of countries have been raiding human camps to capture people and to sell them as slaves. Meaning that most countries (Dwarves, Kunalls, and so on) have human slaves which enrage Chris. This is a new reason to improve their military power. From there a new effort to buy back slaves will start, as well as raising their military power to force other races to free their human slaves.
Funny stuff prepared:
Chris came to the battle with the equivalent of cocktail molotov and will use it during the fight, often by missing his targets and once by almost getting Berg. But this will create the misunderstanding, for the troops, that he is a fearful fire mage.
Chris will slip and fall in a pool of Kunall blood and be lightly paralyzed due to the amount of Red Hornet's venom mixed in there. This leads to Berg using a "princess carry" to bring him back to camp. The next day Mia panics when she sees the blood on his shirt. Chris, of course, finds a way to takes advantage of her worry.

Next 5 chapters.
This part will focus on two main things: The war preparations and delaying the Fortress' reaction.
This means troop training, crafting ballistae and finishing the defense wall.
As well as hunting down the Kunall messengers sent by the fortress to find out what's going on with the scout camp and why they haven't sent anyone in a while.
Funny stuff.
During this part, Chris will be very busy preparing blueprints for new weapons. But he still manages to have some set aside for "personal projects."
Mia finds a scroll with a tale titled: The librarian and Engineer - a Happy Ending.
Chris will also hold a meeting in a secret place with Berg, Titus and Ferlin. Chris does his best to explain that as a king he should have maids, this is a follow up from his meeting with Camus. He tries to get his subordinates support by offering them maids as well. Titus offers some resistance as he is married. Chris explains, "It's not about hitting on them, it's about cute maids giggling while making your bed fluffy!"
Mia crashes their meeting, with a dark look and tells him there is no need for a secret meeting as she has already made the necessary arrangements.
The next day, two super strong and thick maids are waiting for him in his tents. Mia shows up with a grin and congratulates him on his new maids. Chris points to the maids biceps and asks "What's this?!" To which Mia answers, "They are royal maids, they need to be strong." Chris then points to the back of their head, which is almost scrapping the top of the tent and asks "And this?". To which Mia answers. "I remember you like ponytails right? So I asked them to style it that way." And so on.

Next Arc - Battling the Kunall Army
Story :
The Kunall fortress eventually decide to send their army.
Chris' scouts did their job and warned Brine City of the Kunall's movements.
So Chris, Berg and Titus went to the wall with a small squad while the rest of the army is en route with the new ballistae as well as the rations, tents and everything needed. They need an extra day to reach the wall.
Luckily the defense wall is ready. But Chris must delay things a bit as he can not push back the Kunalls with the current forces at the wall.
He orders the workers on the site to dig a very shallow moat in front of the wall and to fill it with water, the goal is to make it seems like a deep and large moat is in place. They don't have time to dig a real moat so this one will only be a few centimers deep. He also orders the workers to splatter the wall with mud, to hide the fact that it's made of strong rock and cement and lower the Kunall's suspicions and preparations for their first rush.
Seeing the moat the kunalls decide to delay their assault until the next day as to build equipment to cross what looks like, to them, a deep moat. This in turns, allows the troops and ballistae to reach the camp during the night. The next morning, the Kunalls are greeted by the new defences. The Kunalls lose that battle, but are not eliminated. They are forced back to the fortress as they do not have the troops to take on the wall. They will have to wait for reinforcements, which might take some time as the kunalls are in conflict with the elves up north.
Funny stuff.
A lot of the comedy will depend on the Kunalls reaction here.
First the Kunall army will reach the wall and notice the moat. Their leader will come with a small escort and order Chris and his men to surrender if they wish to survive. He is denied of course.
Berg is getting nervous as the Kunall leader is close to the moat and wall, he is afraid the kunall leader might notice the trickery.
Chris reassures him. "Don't worry Bergy. This will go just fine."
Berg asks him how he can be so sure.
Chris answers" I am a very good judge of personality. I can usually graps 4 to 5% of someone's personality just by looking at him."
Berg looks at Chris and thinks "That's so low...".
Chris continues: "And this one looks like a true idiot! We'll be fine!"
Berg then thinks, "Aren't you counting to much on those 4 to 5% my lord?"
The rest will be the Kunall's reactions as they are tricked by the different traps Chris has in place.

Next Arc - Developing Brine City
Story
In this arc, most of the workers are sent back to Brine City as the defense wall is finished.
Major improvements to the city are planed in this arc. Promoting it from a "camp" to a "village."
This is justified by many new buildings and industries being developed.
Chris will introduce paper, water powered sawmills and hammers and a few other industries.
This is also the official start of Brine City's own monetary system, which includes the new coins. Part of the workforce is allowed to privatise, and new shops and artisans are opening their doors.
True city planning will start from there, and Chris will work with Mia to design a city that can handle the needs of the citizens and constant growth.
Funny stuff
We discover the official design of the new coins in this arc, as Carmelo finish the stamps needed to print them. Each coin is a scene of story, starting from the smallest denomination to the largest. Depicting Mia's and Chris' romance. From their meeting to their wedding. Which will annoys Mia to no end.
In this arc Chris will keep giving funny names to the new machines he develops.

Next Arc - The dwarves and elves.
In this arc, Brince City enters its own golden age and industrial era.
The last workers that were still under a food stamp system are now receiving their salary, many shops are opening up, and people's creativity for services and goods is through the roof.
These guides Chris to open trades routes with other countries to take advantage of this boom.
For this, Brine city will build a trade port on the river north of the village.
The river connects the city to the dwarf kingdom where the city can get cheap ore and many human slaves to buy back in exchange for food and gold coins.
Chris also opens a trade route on land to reach the elves where they exchange services, goods and technologies for food and lumber.
A good chunk of that food will be redirected to trade with the dwarves as the two races refuses to interact with each other.
Contact with the elves will give unintended hints that will allow Chris to figure out how to use the mana crystals found in the Necromancer's cave.
Those crystals end up being used, for now, to generate light, and to cool down the air during the heatwave.
Conflicts against bandits and slavers will intensify during this arc.
The prince of the old kingdom is found to cooperate with the bandits and slavers to raid Brine City's convoy.
This ends in the beheading of the prince after a series of battles that will lead to the prince's own settlement.

Next Arc - Technologies and The Dungeon
After a few months of development. Brine City is now a true full-size city.
Defense walls are erected around the city. Roads are laid out, every family has their own house courtesy of the government, the population has exploded and so did the army.
Defence walls as well as Towers have been built at choke points to defend the northern kingdom from all directions, including from friendly countries like the elves and dwarves.
Brine City now has complete claim of that region with no other local rivals.
The increase in population leads to the creation of many farming village to feed the kingdom.
Camus makes regular visits to Brine City and is each time surprised by the progress done.
This arc will have many POV chapters from citizens, refugees, enemies, and workers in different industries developing new technologies from Chris.
Chris also opens a new adventurer guild which is partially funded by the kingdom until it can stand independently. This leads to the many people seeking adventure and exploring the kingdom for riches and combat. Their tasks include finding dungeons, caves, as well as killing bandits, slavers, beasts and many other tasks;
In this arc Brine City will receive its first schools. And two towers will be built, an alchemy tower in the east of the city and a research center in the west, starting a rivalry between those two departments that will last centuries.
Those two towers will be mostly funded thanks to the revenues and resources generated by the dungeon, which is now open to the adventurers guild and the army.

Next Arc - Coronation
After 3 years, the human kingdom is now nothing like it was in the past. The conflict with the Kunall is still ongoing but the Kunalls are much more subdued as they no longer have the capacity to fight the Elves and the humans at the same time. The kingdom is still preparing their war efforts but plans for a joint attack with the elves is ongoing.
This would completely push the Kunalls out of the human's territory and maybe even allow Chris' troops to capture extra land.
But before that, Chris' coronation is planed. This is needed for him to legitimately lay claim to the human territory.
The coronation happens in Brine City. Everything that was needed was brought back from the ruins of the old capital.
This is a huge event where every single race on the continent, even Kunalls must send an emissary, as to not offend the gods. This is the occasion to meet many new races including Dragons, Gnolls, Fairies, and more exotic creatures I have not yet named. This is also the occasion to get a hint on why the Kunalls attacked the human kingdom. It seems someone or another race managed to find out there was a hidden and completely untouched dungeon in the human kingdom and informed the Kunalls.
The coronation happens in an open temple constructed specifically for the event, made of white marble and golden runes, the symbol of Chris' reign and the Sun God. The temple is vast enough to accommodate dozens of thousands of people.
As the ceremony ends, the goddess appears from the sky, surrounded by almost blinding light as she blesses Chris.
This is when Chris gets his own divine Gift. However, I apologize as I have not yet decided what it would be.
Funny stuff.
Here I made the goddess appear in an tall and mature form exuding charm and calm, a form she always takes on for her public appearances. Which makes Chris smirk as he knows what she really looks like: a flat chested bratty kid.
****** ****** ******
Next Arcs.
I do not have much prepared for the next arcs. But this is where I imagine Chris uses his newfound status and power to do everything he can to free human slaves from other countries.
I also have plans for a conflict with the Razerhides in the south of the kingdom as they are occupying a contested piece of land that would allow Chris to build a port with access to the sea.
One of the reveals of this arc would be that the Razorhides have long finished their mutations after receiving their divine boon and are now completely capable of thinking and speech, but that they have chosen to keep it hidden from everyone.
This is also where the elves and humans would push into the Kunall territory and eventually reach the Kunall leader. This would unlock new knowledge about the one behind the Kunalls, it would also open new conflicts with the dragons and a few other races, as well as allow us to get some info on the gods and the conflicts they are currently in.
Unfortunately, this is too far into the novel, and I have not had time to develop it.
This is also where the relationship between Mia and Chris progresses a lot, which leads to their marriage. Mia still takes a very active role in government, while Chris can finally go all out and work on his dream machines and robots now that he has fully unlocked the secrets of the magic crystals. This allows for a "Magic Punk" era in the Sun Kingdom where Chris mix science and magic to build machines, vehicles, planes and more.

Ending :
This happens 50 years later, when the human kingdom is well established. It's territory and armies dwarf that of the past, Chris and Mia now have children and even grandchildren.
Brine City is now a magnificent city of white marble with light golden undertones, the city itself is built around the palace, called Dalahan's Castle (Petunia's choice), allowing it a full view of the surroundings.
Machines and magical beasts can be seen roaming in the sky. Many shades of colors could be seen flashing in the distance, betraying the use of magic in the daily life of the people.
Time spares no one, and Chris' entourage has seen many new heads replace the old ones.
Carmelo died of old age and is replaced by his son in the forge.
Berg died of old age a decade ago, which greatly saddened Chris. Carl followed in Berg's footsteps and is now the proud Chief of Army, Cid died in combat protecting the kingdom during the Dragon wars. while Titus, Ferlin and Cat are now retired but still act as consul to Chris and Mia.
Ferlin managed to snare Sana from Selv and is now married to her. Petunia turned out to be very talented in magic and is now at the head of the Dalahan Alchemy Tower, which she had gained the naming rights from Chris.
At this moment, Chris is sitting on the balcony of the royal palace. Beneath him, the thriving city is proof of his efforts and the time spent in this world. Memories of his old world are now fading but have been replaced by many new happy ones.
Chris stretches his now weak and trembling hand to hold Mia's hand as they nestle next to each other.
Around them, their three children and many grandchildren are watching over their last moments with red eyes. They know, the health and Chris and Mia have been decreasing lately. So much that while they still held the titles of King and Queen, much of the government affairs have been handed down to the eldest son.
That eldest son respectfully bows as he reaches for his parents hands to help them meet each other, as they have no strength left.
Mia and Chris share one last loving gaze as they feel their eyelid getting heavier.
At this moment a blinding ball of light appears in the sky of the capital as the goddess descends in her true form for the first time in public.
.
She silently hovers in front of the balcony as she watches over Chris and Mia with a neutral expression. In the city, all eyes anxiously turn to the palace, as they all knew what this meant.
Chris looks, with eyes fully open, at the blinding light as the shape of the goddess slowly became clearer.
A small smile appears on his lips as he mouths a silent "Thank you" to her. Thank you for bringing him here. Thank you for letting him meet Mia. Thank you.
With the last of his strength, he slowly turns in his chair to face Mia. She looks at him with red eyes before leaning in for one last kiss as they whispered sweet nothings to each other and each other alone.
The goddess, finally showed a sad expression as she bowed toward Chris and Mia, her actions were quickly followed by the people of Brine City as many tears are rolling down their cheeks, they all remember the hard times they had to experience before meeting their king, the fear, the hunger, the despair. They remember the kindness of mischievousness of their king and queen.
And today... The Sun king and his queen are dead… But not forgotten.
The goddess allowed herself one last glance at Mia's and Chris' eldest child. She watched as he was born, as he grew up. She saw how mischievous he was, and how he grew up into his responsibilities. And now the grown man was kneeling tears and snot rolling down his face as he cried his loss.
"So pure. So troublesome." She sighed as she disappeared."Just like his father."
Thank you everyone. This was a very special experience for me, and one from which I learned a lot.
Mia... Chris... I love you guys!
