Chapter 2: School
"3th-grade talent."
"Accepted!"
Mo Tian's eyes brightened as he heard the good news, but maintaining an indifferent look.
Mo Tian walked towards the entrance of the gate where a woman in her mid-20s, and as well other students who had their talents tested, were gathered.
The woman spoke up towards the group:
"Welcome to Ares Martial School."
"We are directly under the Ares sect."
"If any of you reach the Qi Solidification before reaching the age of 18. You will have the chance to be sent to the main branch of the sect. Understood?"
The woman intently stared at the group of students as she continued;
"Those with students tested to talents that are above 5 will be assigned in A-Class."
'Those with talents of 4 and 3 will be in B class."
"And those that are still accepted even with low talent yet has potential would stay in C-Class"
The students then started dispersing into groups, those in the classes lower than A had a sad look on their faces. The woman glanced at the pitiful faces of those in B and C Class as she smiled.
"Before we proceed, I have a little quiz for all of you; Whoever answers it correctly would have this "Spirit Stone", This is a valuable object that would help you in the future, The school only gives one for every six days."
The eyes of the students brightened as they heard this special "offer"
Seeing the crowd's reaction, the woman smiled as she continued speaking...
"My question is pretty simple; What is the purpose of separating the classes from A to C?"
Mo Tian had immediately thought of getting that spirit stone for himself, It would definitely help to have a bit of an advantage when the classes start.
He had thought that the question was pretty crudes
'Isn't it just because it was necessary to separate the bad, the mediocre, and the talented.?
One of the students that seem to be a son of a noble smiled as he answered;
"That's pretty simple; Talents that are in the 5th level would have a higher chance of Qi solidification. But those with a 4th or 3rd level of talent could only reach that stage by luck. But those even lower than that wouldn't even acquire any good Qi on their body, and as such have no chance in reaching that stage, only their physical aspect such as Qi refining would they be of use."
Mixed expressions could be seen from the crowd of students after hearing this straightforward answer. Although, Those students that are within A class just grinned with an expression full of pride as they looked down towards these lower class students as if they were insects.
"Very good; This morning; we will start with Cultivation class; During the afternoon, we will start the Theoretical class. Now, go to your specific rooms and classes."
She then tossed the Spirit Stone, which was of white in color and is as big as a palm, towards the student who got the answer.
Mo Tian prepared himself as he planned to go to the cultivation hall before he was stopped by someone. A blue-haired boy that Mo Tian was vaguely familiar with, it seems that this boy was tested to have a 4th Grade Talent during the tests if he was not mistaken.
"What do you want?" Mo Tian retorted
"Hey come on now, No need to be hostile towards me. I just wanted to inform you that the one you offended was the younger brother of Wang Feng; His name is Wang Tian. You should take care of yourself or you'd end up the same with the last guy that offended them..."
The boy moved closer as he whispered...
"Dead..."
Mo Tian creased his brows and immediately left.
A while later, in a hall filled with students and a middle age man in the front lecturing.
Within a hall filled with students, a middle-aged man was in front; Lecturing
"The name of our continent is the Cloud Fall; The continent is divided in half; Humans and Beasts. There are 6 Human emperors and 3 Beast kings. Now, what are the names of the six emperors?"
The students simultaneously answered;
"Empress Feng of the Sky fire sect!"
"Emperor Qin of the Overlord Earth sect!"
"Emperor Mo of the Water world sect!"
"Emperor Gua of the Sky Forge sect!"
"Emperor Che of the Beast Taming sect!"
"Empress Ling of Soul Puppet sect!"
"Good; It looks like your parents have told you all already."
"We are in the Sky Fire sect's domain. Although we are a small province on the edge of there domain, you must learn to respect them. The sect's like our Ares Martial here, are all under the Sky Fire sect. Okay, that's all for today.
"Now, proceed to your cultivation classes."
The middle age man left and the same woman from a while ago came to the stage.
Mo Tian looked at her intently.
"Everyone, listen well; There are 10 levels of Qi Finding Realms; After that would be the Solidification Realm which also has 10 levels... As for the other stage? You dont have to worry about that as you all would never reach it..."
The students glanced at the woman with a disappointed face.
"Even if all of you are better off then the C-class, none of you have any chances of reaching greater heights, you all have pathetic futures."
All this talk had slightly enraged the students as they started whispering with each other;
"How dare she tell us about our future? Nothing is set in stone!"
The teacher sneered as she continued
"Okay, all of you follow me and we will get your cultivation technique."
She started walking as everyone followed suit.
Awhile later; They stopped at a building with a huge logo: "Martial Bank!"
An old man was standing outside as he said.
"Your all the new batch of students? This is the place where you get to pick your cultivation technique. Okay, proceed inside, only enter on the first level."
"Remember; You only need to pick one. If the technique is not suited to your elemental affinity; Then, you have to offer a spirit stone to change your technique."
The old man creased his brows as he glanced at the group.
"Go!"
