After the death threat, the Nottingham police increased security around Evan Doughty and Allan Adams per Evan's request. He became the laughingstock of the European footballing world. He did not receive any strange envelopes with bullets, blades or white powder after that. However, both his and Allan's offices were flooded with condemnation letters from the furious fans.
