Chapter 8: Head Aches and Mistakes
All the sudden, your eyes flash open. Your head is pounding, and you look around to see an unfamiliar living room. You shift uncomfortably under your pillow, and then realize it isn't a pillow. Your laying next to Doppio on the couch, resting your head on his chest. It's actually surprisingly nice when your in the right position. You try to sit up a little, but he's so warm you just snuggle in closer. Ah whatever, work doesn't start until 3 anyways. You look around, surveying the room. Abbacchio is passed out on the floor, hopefully alive, with two glasses of wine next to him. Olivia is no where to be seen. Narancia, even though he could have moved literal hours ago, is still asleep and, you guessed it, sitting on Fugo. Mista doesn't seem to be in the room anymore either.
You lay on Doppio for a little bit longer, trying to remember what happened last night, when he also wakes up. He looks startled at first with you snuggled next to him, but then wraps his arm around you. You open your eyes, and he looks embarrassed that your awake. He quickly sits up, but you complain "waittt, your so warm though". He smiles and lays back down, a little farther away this time. "Do you remember anything that happened last night?" He asks. You shake your head no, and reply "Let's see what we can remember with some memory jogging". "Alright. So we started with Truth or Dare, right?" He asks. "Yeah, and then Fugo was dared to get us more punch I think.." You reply. He places his hand on his forehead and says "Why did we have to drink so much last night- I know it's a party, but..". You reply with "Well we don't have to remember every detail. Maybe just what ended up happening to us". When you say this, a look of realization crosses his face. They he blushes, and looks at you nervously. "I think I remember some stuff now.." he says. "Like what?" "Well, Abbacchio over there dared you to kiss me on the lips. Then after that you happened to say you were done for the night. It didn't have to do with Abbacchio's dare, right?". You look at him surprised, and respond "No! Of course not! I really was getting tired. And honestly, it wasn't that bad. Although.. I think I remember what happened next". "Oh really? Well what was it?". You glance at him nervously, and then say "Well, Mista convinced me to stay for one more question. But instead of asking me, he asked you." "Well what did he ask then?". You giggle a little bit, probably out of nervousness, and respond "He asked you smash or pass about me-". Doppio stares at you for a second and then says "Oh.....".
After sitting there for a few minutes, he says "I'm going to walk home to get ready for work, are you coming with?". You look a little surprised, and check your phone. "Wow, we really slept in until 12? And sure, I'll come". He smiles and takes your hand to lead you to the front door. Neither of you bothering to say goodbye to Bruno since he was probably passed out, you head out into the bright daylight. Once you reach the lobby in your apartment building, Doppio starts to look a little nervous. At first you think he's going to have another attack, but then he says "Uh, Y/N? Do you by chance.. uh- know what I said in response to the final dare last night?". You look at him for a second, and then remember. "No I don't. Why?" "Just wondering." He responds.
At this point you guys are in the hallway to your apartments, when you see none other than Olivia standing there. She looks up surprised, and then looking only at Doppio says "Oh hello again! Wait, do you live here? That's fantastic! I just moved here yesterday to be closer to uhm.. Buno!". Doppio gives her a weird look and says "His name is Bruno. And yes, we both live here". She gives him a weird look, like duh, and says "I said Bruno. Now, which one is yours, I want to know how close we love to each other!". Doppio walks down the hallway, still holding your hand, and gestures to your apartment. "This is Y/N's apartment, she also just moved here a few days ago." He continues down the hallway to his apartment. "And this, is my apartment". She looks excited, and gestures to the door to the left of his. "This one right here is my apartment! Oh, we can hang out all the time together! Speaking of hanging out, would you maybe like to go out to dinner tomorrow night?" Doppio gives her an awkward glance, and says "Uh well.. you see- I'd love too! But, I'm already going out to dinner tomorrow with Y/N." She looks at me with a disgusted face and says "Oh really? Well then maybe we can all go!". "Well ah, you see it's a reservation for two". At this she looks slightly defeated and says "well then maybe the two of us can do something afterwards". Doppio sighs and says "yeah, maybe" before opening his apartment door and leading me in, shutting the door before Olivia can enter too. "Sorry if you wanted to go to your apartment, I just wanted to be able to actually say goodbye without her there". You follow him in, and he continues speaking. "I was actually wonder if you would like to go to dinner with me like I told her. It's fine if your busy or something". You look at him and go "Dinner sounds great! What time?". He looks a little flustered and says "How about 5:45? And also, there was something I wanted to ask you at dinner, but now I don't want to wait. Will you be my girlfriend?"
