As soon as Mifa finished telling the whole story, she felt something threatening coming from Athena.
The rage… No, that was pure, explosive fury that made Mifa feel apprehensive, the knights sweat and even Serien that was bordering on insanity, shivering and cowering over her son.
"Mifa, Fotiá, Faena, I'll be right back." Athena said standing up with dark eyes.
"Athena..." Mifa tried to say something, but Athena didn't hear.
Athena jumped into the garden, through the throne room window, spread her draconic wings, and disappeared.
"Put all the soldiers in position and warn the other cities to do the same." Mifa stood up and shouted at the knights who quickly moved. "Ah! You, escort Princess Serien and her son to their room and..." The marks on her body began to bother and with a pained expression she continued. "Give her something to put her to sleep, she needs to rest even if it is by force."
The last two knights present approached of Serien and took her away.
Mifa looked at the girls who arrived with Athena.
The one with pitch-black hair, like Athena's, was biting her right thumbnail with a nervous expression.
The other with reddish-black hair had her cheeks full of air and looked sullen at being left behind by Athens.
"Who are you two?"
Faena stopped working her jaw that moved with every bit of nail she pulled out and looked at Mifa.
Without Athena there, she couldn't say she was Faena, the only one who had that name and who was the goddess of destruction.
Faena was scared again and was silent.
Fotiá crossed her arms over her chest and snorted. "I'm Fotiá. Daughter of that denatured mother who just found me and left alone again..."
"Athena's daughter?" Mifa thought about what Athena had told her about Fotiá. (The characteristics match, but the age...) Mifa thought for a moment and gave up on understanding by herself. "I'll go after her, do you want to come?"
"How? Mom can fly really fast..."
"I can run really fast." Mifa responded by taking off her clothes.
"Eh? Why are you taking your clothes off?" Faena asked in bewilderment.
Without answering, Mifa took off her shorts and along with everything else, she handed them to Fotiá. "Hold this for me and follow me."
Mifa jumped into the garden just like Athena and following her, Fotiá and Faena did the same.
In the garden, Faena saw Mifa's mana change. It was like she was seeing the mana of a wild beast.
Mifa's arms lengthened and fur sprouted all over her body as her size also increased.
In a matter of seconds, Fotiá and Faena saw a gigantic wolf with brown fur with long gray streaks.
The wolf bent down and looked at the two girls there.
Fotiá had a delighted smile on her face and Faena had a face of a little surprise mixed with fear.
""Climb up."" Mifa said.
Fotiá climbed Mifa's fur with joy like if she were going on an adventure.
Faena looked at Mifa as if she were a ferocious dog and Mifa's sharp teeth made her even more afraid, but she would have no other way to reach Athena.
With trembling legs and arms, Faena climbed onto Mifa's back and clung to Fotiá who looked happier than ever.
""Hold on tight."" Mifa said.
Mifa stood up hearing Faena's screams and Fotiá's laughter. She jumped from roof to roof until she reached the walls and jumped out of the city.

After a long conversation with Lobana and Lunnia, Anemus had a clearer mind. She wanted to find Athena and talk to her... try again.
"I can already see the walls of Basilian." Lobana said.
"Me too." Anemus said with a gentle smile.
Anemus had seen Basilian from the outside in the past, when Hades attacked the city for whatever reason she no longer remembered.
Basilian had great white walls, tall houses with red-tiled roofs, and three towers, each at a different point of the city.
Anemus couldn't tell whether or not Basilian was a beautiful city since she had so few references.
She didn't pay attention to the cities of Qartur and the only cities she had seen so far were the elf village and the citadel.
The village of the elves was made of houses inside the trunks of living trees and on the branches of those trees.
The village could hardly be called a city even if it had a unique charm.
As for the citadel, Anemus hardly remembered that city.
She couldn't remember the architecture of that city, only the moments she spent with Athena.
Killing the bad guys who tried to kidnap her and Fotiá, shopping and the meals she had with Athena and Fotiá.
The memories of travels and moments she spent with Athena began to fill her mind and Basilian's beauty no longer mattered to Anemus.
(Maybe she'll travel again if I convince her...)
As Anemus began to dream, the others in the group had smiles on their faces at last being able to step on the ground again.
They started to decrease in altitude as they approached the city and Anemus' heart raced with anxiety, but then...
A winged silhouette appeared in the sky from the city and flew away.
"Eh? That is Athena?" Anemus looked at Lobana and Lunnia.
"What are you waiting for? Go after her!" Lunnia screamed.
Encouraged by Lunnia's scream, Anemus enveloped herself in wind and in a burst of air, she flew away.
"What happened to Athena flying off in such a hurry?" Lobana asked without waiting for an answer.
"I don't know, but we'll have to wait until she gets back to find out, but I think it has to do with that sea of corpses outside the walls..." Lunnia replied. "Let's land, we don't want to cause a stir with a dragon landing near the city."
As soon as Lobana agreed and they began to decrease in altitude even more, a wolf leapt over the walls and ran away at almost the same speed as Athena.
(That is... Athena's daughter and Faena on that wolf's back... No... Is that a fenrir? What the hell is going on in this world?) Ella said in a voice that sounded tired of surprises.

In a garden that was in bloom all year, on an island far from the others and floating a little higher up, an army of millions prepared to move.
"Are you still following Faena?" Asked a man with long golden hair and a worried expression.
The man was young, unshaven, square-jawed, and had golden eyes that glittered as if all the light in the world came from them.
"Yes, we are following her, but..." Replied a young woman with a low voice.
The woman was about eight inches shorter than the man and emanated an office-woman aura, with her back straight, making her large bust stand out beneath her robe.
"But what?"
"Looks like she's got a pretty unique ally."
"What are you talking about?"
The woman took a deep silver tray with water in it and placed a finger in the water, making it ripple slightly.
The water shimmered silvery blue and images sprang up.
"Since we found her, she has been with a dragon that is the size of an ancient dragon, but it don't have the color of any of the dragon clans."
"Has you already spoken to the dragon elders?"
"How would we do that? Dragons live in their sleep..."
"Those damn useless lizards... The world started experiencing another crisis and they just sleep? That's nonsense." The man tied his hair into a low ponytail and grabbed a helmet.
"Furthermore..." The woman followed the man who was beginning to walk towards the exit from where they were. "With the exception of Lucifer who never leaves the north and Mammon who is dead. The demon lords are moving with demon hordes and are reaching the northern and northwestern islands."
"Tsk! Only problems..." The man looked at the woman, kissed her forehead and spread his wings. "Keep watching the demons and as for the Faena, we'll seal her up again just as our mother ordered us to."

Athena flew for about five minutes to reach Mizhar. She didn't bother to look for Veron and went straight to the kingdom's capital.
She was looking at a city that looked like a Babylonian city and looking for the building that looked more like the royal palace among those buildings that all looked the same.
"If I remember well..."
Athena looked at the buildings more in the middle of the city and saw the building that stood out the most with large gardens and crystal clear pools.
The woman flew lower, drawing the attention of the soldiers scattered around the place and amplifying her voice with wind magic.
"I am the empress of the empire of Basilica, Athena." Athena said looking at the palace entrance as the number of soldiers below her only increased. "The judgement has began."
***
Inside the palace, just before Athena arrived, the king of Mizhar lay on several sumptuous cushions and surrounded by women wearing veils of many different colors.
Pales was a handsome young man, in his mid thirties, with lean muscles.
His hair was as long as the veils of the women around him and his eyes were bored and blue as the summer sky.
He was in his moment of rest and pleasure after hearing the complaints of the other two dukes of his kingdom about attacking Basilica.
"Those fools don't know the value of Basilica..." Pales monologued as he was cajoled by the women of his harem.
"Your majesty will soon be a emperor." Said a woman with long red hair who had nothing covering her breasts.
"Alaris, when I become emperor, I will give you a son and he will be the heir."
"Ara! And what about your other three children, my father?" Asked a girl who looked to be around fourteen.
"Riehene? Come here."
The girl rose from her place out of sight of Pales.
She had short dark green hair and her belly showed that she would soon be a mother.
"Yes, my father…" Riehene lowered her head.
"How are the symptoms of pregnancy?" Pales asked as he caressed his daughter's breast.
"The heartburn doesn't occur anymore, but the back pains only get worse."
"Hm... You don't need to come keep me company anymore until the child is born." The man pushed the others aside and hugged Riehene, giving her a soft kiss. "Go and rest, later I will send someone to be your personal servant."
Riehene rose with the eyes of the other women on her. She felt somehow victorious earning so much love from her father or husband.
At this point it was difficult to distinguish.
Riehene turned her back after bowing once more to Pales and smiled a satisfied smile, that's when it all started.
"I am the empress of the empire of Basilica, Athena... The judgement has began."
Hearing these words echo throughout, Pales's face changed from calm and relaxed expressions to hard and angry ones.
"Wha-"
Several explosions followed, everything shuddered and the women screamed in fright.
With the explosions, cracks appeared in the walls and floor of the palace.
Riehene looked around her and saw no place to flee as deep cracks spread in the ground around her.
"Riehene!" Pales screamed as the roof began to crumble.
"Father-" Riehene looked at her father and was crushed by the collapsed ceiling.
"The judgement has began."
I liked that phrase.
