Sil stopped crying a few moments later, when he had no tears to spare anymore, asked Vile to forgive him that moment of weakness.
"I don't consider it as such. You've shown your true self, and had the courage to do so. I think it's the true face of bravery, to just show your true self not bothering with opinions of folks around." She explained her amused expression.
"Thank you, those words mean very much to me, and I know they're told from the bottom of heart." Sil replied with now a wide smile.
"Let's go after taking their heads." And they left the grotesqueus site.
After showing the heads to the mayor, they took a parchment for receiving the reward, cos it was too big to be given by chief, but he provided them something needed more than money – a dimensional amulet.
It was a high tier enchanted item, which preserved food, and other resources freezing them in time, and had capacity of one Staj^3. It was especially handful in dire weather circumstances such as floods in warm rainforests, or droughts on deserts, and also prevented freezing, so in high mountains was priceless.
Sil, Vile, and Kil departed into skies again heading to the nearest army garrison to receive bounties on the bandit heads. After brief time, they landed nearby, just in case Kil was scary for the stressed militaries, to prevent dire situations.
Heading to the quartermaster, discussed the possible negotiation strategy, which would allow them to haggle better price.
"Welcome! What brings you two here?"
"We want to discuss the bounty on greed's pack heads." Vile said cunningly.
"Alright, I can give you a 10 silver bonus to each head."
At these words Sil unpacked the trophies from amulet.
"Clever, but don't try your trickery again on me." The quartermaster said.
"Take your coin and get out of my sight!" He shouted irritated.
After leaving the encampment they started laughing histerically, only managed to stand their feet.
"Did you see his face, priceless!"
"And he got all red on face!" Vile added.
While they returned to their surroundings, a scout watched their movements unseen by anyone...
Incoming danger unseen to our strangers.
Some mean folks decided to get some gears,
for money they could not honestly earn.
But soon they will be given a chance to learn.
