DC: Ghosts of Gotham
In the worst city in America, survival is the only real law.
A nameless boy wakes in Gotham City with memories of another life and quickly learns that intelligence means nothing if you can’t survive the night. At eight years old, he escapes a corrupt orphanage and disappears into Gotham’s streets, where hunger, gangs, corrupt cops, and predators hunt the forgotten children no one will miss.
He survives through observation.
Through caution.
Through learning faster than everyone around him.
While other children dream of heroes, the boy learns a harsher truth:
heroes arrive late, villains rule openly, and the city devours the weak without remorse.
Years pass.
The runaway child becomes a courier, thief, street fighter, and information broker buried beneath Gotham’s criminal underworld. With no powers, no destiny, and no one willing to save him, he claws his way upward through sheer discipline, adaptability, and relentless will.
But Gotham leaves scars.
After underground fights, military service under a false identity, brutal isolation on Lian Yu, and eventual training within the League of Assassins, the boy returns to Gotham transformed into something far more dangerous:
an independent operator feared by criminals, distrusted by heroes, and impossible to control.
Neither hero nor villain, he walks the thin line between contracts, assassins, vigilantes, and organized crime while struggling not to lose the last fragments of his humanity.
Unknown to most, the shadows following him run deeper than anyone realizes.
The blood of Catwoman flows through his veins.
And somewhere in the darkness, the legacy of Deathstroke waits to be uncovered.
As Gotham descends further into violence, the city’s ghosts begin to rise:
forgotten children, broken soldiers, killers searching for purpose, and monsters wearing human faces.
And the boy who once leapt from an orphanage rooftop to survive winter may become one of the most dangerous ghosts of them all.
