What are the main events in 'Cardboard Wars Great Big Story'?

In this story, one of the main events could be that the great big enormous rock held some sort of mystery. It could have had strange markings on it. So, people from different places came to study it. There might have been a conflict between those who wanted to preserve the rock as it was and those who wanted to break it open to find out what was inside. This conflict and the process of trying to solve the mystery of the rock could be the main events of the story.
