In 6th grade, I had a crush on a boy in my class. He was really good at drawing. I would always steal glances at him during art class. One day, I mustered up the courage to compliment his drawing. He just smiled shyly, and that made my heart flutter even more.

Often, proximity plays a role. Sitting next to someone in class or being on the same team for a project can lead to a crush. Also, kindness is a big factor. If a person is always helping others or being friendly, it's easy to develop a crush on them. For instance, I had a crush on a girl who was always sharing her snacks with everyone. It was her kindness that attracted me.

Common things in 8th grade crush stories include having secret glances at your crush all the time. You don't want them to notice, but you can't help looking. There was this 5th grader named Tim. On Halloween, he dressed up as a vampire. He went to a haunted house event at school. Inside, he got separated from his friends. As he was wandering around alone, he saw a 'ghost' floating towards him. He was terrified at first, but then he noticed it was just a teacher in a costume with some strings and a fan making it look like it was floating. He had a good laugh about it later.

One interesting story could be about a group of 6th graders who found an old map in their school attic. They followed the clues on the map and discovered a hidden garden on the school grounds that no one knew about. It was filled with beautiful, rare flowers.

One funny 6th grade story is when a boy brought his pet frog to school for show - and - tell. But during lunch, the frog escaped and hopped onto someone's sandwich. Everyone was screaming and laughing at the same time.

Well, in 8th grade I had a boyfriend. We used to pass notes in class. It was really cute. We would write things like how much we liked each other's smiles. But then summer came and we went to different camps, and slowly drifted apart. It was sad at first but looking back, it was just a sweet and innocent part of growing up.
