The translation of the classical Chinese water metaphor is as follows: Water Metaphor was an ancient novel about a man who was troubled by water because he misunderstood the nature of water. Through vivid descriptions, the novel profoundly revealed the complexity of human nature and the relationship between things. The theme of "water" could be described through the encounters of the protagonists in the story. It narrated the importance of water in human life, as well as the misunderstanding and dependence of human beings on water. At the same time, it also revealed the excessive dependence of human beings on the power of nature and the lack of understanding of themselves. Water Metaphor was a novel with high literary value and depth of thought. Through the description of water and the revelation of human nature, it showed the deep thinking of ancient Chinese culture about man and nature, and between people.

7/31/2024~ In the process of editing and updating my earlier chapters. I personally believe the story starts to improve and find it's way a bit more around chapter 50+. Hopefully can make some adjustments in earlier chapters when I have the time, but pacing slows down into a more measured rate as I start finding my groove. I give the content more time to breathe instead of going so fast. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the realm of Nexaria, where elemental spirits and divine beings shape the fate of the world as a land of mortals striving to become gods against the demons of the Abyssal universe, a young boy named Lassim Vanthar embarks on an extraordinary journey of advancement, adventure and becoming a bastion for those around him in their fight against the Dragal. Born into a noble family with a legacy of Fire elemental martial prowess, Lassim possesses an unparalleled gift on his 8th birthday—a connection to two differing elemental spirits, a feat unheard of in the history of his world. A gift and a tampering of the order until now that is an omen. It is a sign of the Gods influencing the future fate of Nexaria on a more serious level. Lassim must harness the power of his dual spirits to protect his loved ones and confront the looming threat of the Abyss' encroachment on his universe, but one step at a time as he grows from just a tool of the God's to a major power as the hero of not only Nexaria, but the entire universe. Lassim faces daunting challenges, battles fierce adversaries, and unlocks the mysteries of his own destiny that has been tampered with by the Gods of this universe. How will he react and adapt to his situations? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is my first ever novel. I’m a new author and still learning how to tell a story. Please understand that when reading. Thank you.

Black In the Water

Black In the Water

Where mystery meets romance... —Excerpt— We lay next to each other, both of us not saying a thing, but I feel comfortable. I don’t have the impulse to have to talk to him to avoid an awkward silence because it has never been awkward with Ash, I realise. “You asleep?” he whispers to me. “Nope,” I reply quietly. “It’s weird because my body is so tired but I can’t seem to shut my brain off.” “Me neither,” he says. I hear the crackling of the fresh sheet under us move and realise Ash has turned to face me. “Uhm, what?” I ask dubiously. “Nothing, I’m just trying to find a comfortable position.” “Okay,” I say as I stare at him in the dim glow of the candles. Ash stares back at me, his hand lifts to push away a strand of hair that has fallen into my eyes, then he closes his eyes. He is asleep in the next moment, with his hand frozen on my cheek. Usually, with anyone else, I would push his hand away because it feels wrong and uncomfortable. But his caress felt good against the slight burn on my skin. And as he rests his hand on my cheek, I can’t help but think about how no one has ever held me close to them and makes me feel this way. Even though Ash and I are far from holding each other close, just a touch of his hand comforts me in ways that others’ hugs have tried and failed. Without much thinking, I push Ash’s fallen hair out of his eyes and rest my hand against his cheek. In the next moment, as my eyes start to droop, I feel a pull of his cheek against my palm and realise he is smiling. —————————————————————————————————————————— When an apartment building is plagued by a strange substance in its water, its residents uncover a foreboding mystery that will perish them all. With a deadly fog that blocks their escape, they must now forget their differences and work together to overcome the horrifying events that ultimately threaten their survival.

Youdao Translator was a translation software. Although it might not perform well when translating professional texts, it was still recommended for translating English novels. The unique feature of Youdao Translator was that the translated words were all from the Internet. The language was more spoken and met the reading standards of the Chinese people. It was also very literary. In addition, Youdao e-reader and Mengge reader were also two recommended English novel reading software. They provided free novel reading functions and had a rich selection of resources.

Can machine translations novel be as good as human translations?

1 answer
2024-10-25 01:10

In general, currently machine translations of novels are not as good as human translations. While machines can handle basic grammar and vocabulary translation, novels often contain complex emotions, cultural backgrounds, and writing styles. A human translator can sense the author's intention and recreate it in another language more effectively. For instance, in a classic novel, the subtleties of character relationships might be lost in machine translation.
