It died instantly, strength flooding me, and my regeneration reached a new high, as did my strength. Behind me, I heard a squelch and a sluree of blood, and mask fragments bathed me. I turned around to find Jean panting as she crushed yet another mask demon just before it skewered me.

It's not a question of weakness, it's a question of pressure. I feel like you don't get that. Yes, she is infinitely powerful, but she doesn't have CONTROL. All that power can be dangerous if it's not controlled. So, when she feels pressure, it's a chip at her control rather than her wellbeing, and the more she taps into the Phoenix, the less control she has.
I bucked under the pressure, finding it almost unbearable. Right before I lost control, I found the demon standing in front of me, breathing in my face.

After we dropped Nadia off with the ancient one, Jean took her time scanning Strucker's lair before we stormed in and did not have the handicap that was Nadia limiting her perception somewhat. She'd only caught about half of the soldiers waiting for us in the warehouse and had missed the giant robot entirely. To be fair, it was made out of mental, and Jean dealt with the metaphysical.

I was on the fence about letting her escape as well, but I needed her to set up the next villain. for the story. You'll see. Besides, she dies later, so it balances out more or less.

It's more like he's mixing Angel and Demon energy... The malfunction happens when he uses tons of Angel energy and demon energy simultaneously.
Unsurprisingly, Angel Evade malfunctioned just as I finished charging both guns, flashing purple before depositing me into the waiting claws of Isha, who had a victorious smirk on her face.

Early 100s. At chapter 112, all his stats are well over a hundred, he has tons of passive skills that require no energy, his cosmic burn is gone, and most of his weapons are fully upgraded... So yeah, he's decently strong.

You're technically right. Dante can see through energy and should've been able to see the demons. But the thing is he was focused on Kaecilius the entire time his Devil's eye has been active, not his environment. You could argue that he should've been able to spot them with his peripheral vision, but that's a difference of opinion at this point.
He slapped his hands together, and a wave of silvery light erupted from them. Several spots shimmered in the air, and 20 demons winked into existence. They must've been cloaked by some kind of illusion magic.

You're definitely onto something there. I was inbetween giving him some kind of bootleg Haki or a more detailed Identify skill that allowed him to peer into somebody's stats and parameters. Which do you think is better?

That's a fair criticism. The current arc I'm writing is the Hulk arc so the story is technically exciting again. I'm also introducing a new villain--somebody interesting from the comics.
