The chat group does resolve most doubts of the newly joined members on its own because after the invitation the member will instinctively believe the chat group to be real. This prevents the cliche 'Who are you, how did you get into my mind? Is this an illusion/devil fruit/hallucinations etc.' situation from occurring, but communicating and greeting them is still his job as the group leader.
