Equivalent exchange is a universal law not just a western law.... Energy does not magically appear. Everything has a reason and if there isn't it's ignorance and not mysticism...
"In Western mysticism, there are several laws, such as equivalent exchange, and… one must not directly gaze upon a god!"

It's quite strange really, all these novels talk about taking the karma of their predecessors but why should they? There's not even an explanation as to why he should and to be frank this trope is just overused and seems to just be there as a plot device
Although he was determined to shoulder the karmic responsibilities left by Su Daoshi, this man's relatives were nearly all dead.

I love the way everything and every character is built up. You can see their individuality and their goals as well as how their actions affect others in ways you wouldn't expect. One thing I don't really like is how the gods are unable to really interact much with the world later on. The reasons as to why makes sense, but even then it almost looks as if the mc is merely reacting to things and that's really it. Wish there was a way to get the mc more involved rather then have them clean up trouble. I only read up to around the 200s so maybe it changed but it doesn't look that way
They looked down on fate and they paid the price for it.....
Those weak in Strength survived, while those too confident in their might eventually perished because of it.

Great, now you’ll bleed to death and you won’t notice until it’s too late lmao
"Then, let's sacrifice the sense of pain!"

....what?
In a daze, Xia Kai seemed to hear a satisfied moan.
Urban · Runaway Bottle
You could say the same about your former world too? Quite a fallacy argument lol
"If traces of immortals, extraordinary cultivation, and other existences can be left behind on the pages... there should be a good chance to come across them here, right?"
Eastern · Old Fool
Meh i doubt it, no reason to do so and he probably just rather live in peace then do all that work
LOL... the prince tried to get him killed and crippled someone who attempted to help Chen Sansi. All this is known to them and they still think he'd side with them. Not even gonna mention the poison since they don't even know Chen knew about it
It was Chen Sansi, who could be considered the emperor's man; likely if he ever acquired any Immortal Law, he would be willing to dedicate it to the court.

This is North America? Thought they were in China or something considering all the names
"What if you've permanently disfigured him? Can you afford to pay for that?" Qiu Yourong shouted, "He's going to play in the NBA in the future!"
