Hehe, you’ve discovered the corner I wrote myself into a bit earlier in the story. It’s basically a ripple effect from me deviating from the original outline of the story that I planned, and cutting away a piece of the storyline. I don’t know if it was very obvious or just a bit noticeable, but there’s a point in the early to mid-600s (chapters) where there’s a relatively hard pivot from getting ready to go into the Boundless Mortal World to suddenly packing for the Boundless Profound World without visiting the rest of the Mortal one. The buildup was first to go outside of Three Continents, and then suddenly shifted to going to this place instead. In the original plotline Battle God’s Cradle wasn’t supposed to be opening up for a long time, it was a convenient plot armor for Wu Long, since everything that happened there was nicely wrapped up without anyone knowing, while Wu Long was supposed to forcefully break through Space Distortions and leave that world, with everyone in Fen Baihu’s realm just as he did in the changed plot, but his destination would have been just a regular small world outside, and then travel the Boundless Mortal World a bit. The route from Battle God’s Cradle to this continent wasn’t supposed to exist. Instead, Wu Long would have had to travel through the Boundless Mortal World to get to a point where he could ascend and land here in this Frontier World. In that way, his previous deeds were supposed to be neatly and very conveniently sealed away in the Battle God’s Cradle for the majority of the story, as it would have taken it a long time to become open again while he was already far far away. Instead, in the storyline you know, he came straight from the Battle God’s Cradle that is on the verge of opening up, so there is no longer any meaning in pretending. Wu Long knows that the cat’s out of the bag, and as soon as the information starts flowing everything that happened there would be public knowledge. Even if he tried to change names or disguise the activities of the trading company and thousand eyes palace, it would be futile, since anyone with a bit of sense, would put two and two together. His actions on the Three Continents and the organizations mentioned were too public and loud to just disappear. So his current schemes are just a convenient way to start off and gain momentum, like an illusion that is only meant to last a short while. It might be a longer answer than what you might have expected, but I didn’t want to brush it off with a simpler excuse lol Thank you for reading!!! ^^
