Still great that people still read my fic though.

I try to align Finn with the original, when writing I try to imagine, what if Finn was raised on the Boiling Isles instead of Ooo. Both characters are similar, they both try to do the right thing, but my Finn has a bit more of an edge.

I forgot, if you would imagine Sweet P, he is technically the Lich himself as a living person. Powers just below the surface,ready to erupt, but he chose a more peaceful path despite all that power.

Finn was overconfident, regaining his power made him reckless. He thought he could just overpower the basilisk. As for his powers, I may need to explain more properly, while his magic does come from the Lich, the way he’s using it now is like using a battery instead of being plugged in. That’s what the Lich’s lessons are for, to regain full power. There is more but that would ruin future chapters.

It gets better.

There are major changes in the later chapters, the first few are to just establish a timeline and character bio. If it helps, one of the later chapters has Sturm fight Amity to the death.

I don't really have any plans to change his hair color for now at least. The wish granting magic was already used up by the original Gunter when the crown was made by Evergreen, as for the spirits the Lich already steals life force, so why not ghosts as well? Ghosts on the boiling isles are nothing more than oracle magic. The reason that the Lich is a great teacher is due to his time acquiring knowledge, he has lived for thousands of years, before Belos, before the titan, even the collectors know of him, but they generally never interfere much like Prismo.
