I, having received decent funding, dug a bunker under the house to put there all the available equipment, in order to avoid, so to speak. Or else some nosy Barbarian will get in where she doesn't need to and it will be an incredible mishap. Besides, having shielded the bunker, I could do more interesting things. Well, at least in the future. A lot of the City's technology is very energy-intensive, and I wouldn't want to get an inspection from the Shield or Hydra on my head.

In general, carefully observing people in this world, I almost never met ugly. Even a mediocre person here would have been quite handsome in my past life. Let alone the very best. And the creation of moonstone jewellery was almost ready. I asked my mum what she wanted to get. She asked for a ring, a chain with an intricate fintiflushka and earrings, which I made for her. I made myself a ring and chain by changing the colour of the metal to silver. Now I didn't have to be so afraid of telepaths and other psionics. The moonstone created a sort of barrier and prevented it from influencing the wearer. Of course some Mr Sinister, Xavier, or Jean Grey would break through the barrier, since it was limited to a small amount of metal, but why would they want to mess with the Smith family, right?

I spent the next three years at school, learning more interesting things at home, and mentally relaxing by doing various physical activities with my restless neighbour. Aki even persuaded Aunt Naomi to do their family style with me. However, they told me that they would teach me all the secrets only if I joined their family. They didn't specify how.
