Yes it’s just a joke that he is even allowed to still compete. Somehow, during each of their encounters, Riftan is constantly chided not to kill the guy, yet Breaton does whatever he pleases and nobody cares just a bit. I don’t get it. Its kinda forced to have an antagonist.

But did he resort to violence before? He resorted to threats, he still does. He was in upsetting situations with Breston before (numerous) and the only one he became actually violent I can consciously recall is when Breston first met Maxi and got his hands on her.

Hard to belive that guy did not just crawl out of some dirty hole but has actual parents. They must have clearly taken a wrong turn at one point raising him.
