I couldn’t really answer those two former questions of yours, author-san. Isekai characters are just too similar to me in general, especially when they are part of the “overpowered” or “destined to be overpowered” variant. Would you consider that to be the far side of bias? Likely, yes. Regardless, for the third question, I’d say you did quite a good job with Rimuru’s current character. Although it might be suitable to add more feminine aspects to her as time goes on or during this date between her and Adam if you’re planning on extending it to the next chapter. After all, there is still a distinctive gap between the thought processes of a female and a male, no matter how much their interests align. Ultimately, there is no point in being canon-compliant when it comes to the characteristics of Rimuru for this story, in my opinion. It’s far better to be dynamic.

Well, the author and the character's desire should of course be different from each other. The essential factor is for the narrative to push towards that genuine side.

I mean, it's already OOC when you decided to write Rimuru to originally be female. Because of this, there is very little to derive from Base Rimuru's personality. I’ve seen many fics that make minimal changes to naturally genderbent characters, which ruins the excitement, so it’s better to just go along with your current formula for this Rimuru. However, it would be nice if you could present something beyond the typical otaku shy girl archetype in the future for her, author-san.

Oh, that might be an interesting detail to keep in mind when Adam is back in Honkai, author-san. After all, I do love some drama to spice things up in the least expected moments, and with Mei's instability, it would be like a volcano waiting to erupt.

Ah, author-san! It warms my heart to see your concern for me. Luckily, I’m still alive—though I suppose some explanations are in order. For the record, I think I’ve only been gone for about 2 months. Well, hopefully, it’s just that and not longer—I’d hate to be diagnosed with dementia at this point in my life. Anyway, the reason for my sudden ‘inactivity’ over 2 months ago has to do with both life and fatigue. The former is self-explanatory, but I haven’t yet reached that point in life where I’m constantly busy, so it’s not the main factor. It’s the latter that’s been the bigger reason. You probably don’t know this, but I used to be more of a passive reader, despite the numerous comments I’ve left on your fic alone. At some point, though, it all became too tiring for me, so I took a short break that amount to me just playing games in my free time. Of course, I eventually came back to reading fanfictions, but not as an active reader as before. In fact, I hadn’t even logged into WN until today. Another reason for my absence is probably related to a shift in my tastes and interests when it comes to reading fanfics. I probably sound like an old man when I say this, but I’ve started to crave stories that really hit you in the feels—stories that kinda tell themselves both directly and indirectly in their own way. It’s a tall order for fanfiction, I know. That’s probably why I grew bored with a lot of the stories I’ve come across, leading me into another endless cycle of fruitless searching. And yes, it’s as depressing as it sounds. So yeah, you probably won’t be seeing me commenting anytime soon, author-san. However, I’m always here for a chat if you’re ever up for one. Seriously, I think we’ve turned this one place into a pseudo-chat room at some point.
