Hmm has gotten me thinking. Isn’t there 7 of them? Could it possibly be they are what represents the 7 deadly sins?? It is said that these sins are transgressions fatal to spiritual progress. Perhaps he is Pride also known as vanity. Would make sense. Once so prideful of his own abilities & looks - this punishment & scars are his way to learn. To see that caring, love & beauty is found within the soul. Angelica is his salvation & will teach him. Beauty & the Beast.

Is Lucruzia like some sort of dark angel of punishment? She may be appointed to give those who are deemed worth saving another chance for past misdeeds. They are punished until they learn what they need to & make up for it.
If Lucrezia wanted to save someone, she should save him. Rayven was beyond saving. The punishment was supposed to make him a better person, but he only got worse. His heart remained dark and his body remained cold.

I believe it is her past life & she has been reborn. That is why she can’t remember them though they are familiar - she hasnt met them in this life. Thinking now she has will start to come back to her.
Angelica shook her head, thinking of how crazy she was for actually believing that this could be a memory of the past. Skender would look different today if it was a memory and she would have been the woman, or at least someone she knew. But the woman was unfamiliar to her.

I think that he has been cursed by a witch maybe. It could be why he has such distaste for her he might of rejected a beautiful woman & you punished him so no one could ever love him. perhaps the curse could be lifted by Angelica. This has a bit of Beauty & the Beast feel. Love it so far 😊
She swallowed hard, seeing his face up close again. Those scars were… horrifying, and some of them seemed even fresher than what she had seen last.

Another book in this series that I was enthralled in & couldn’t put down! Every book I find myself so amazed to be thrown into a new world & adventure on a quest for true love. With a FL I can’t help but admire & absolutely love. The ML as always is so hot & drool worthy. Has humour, suspense, danger & love - you cant help but feel a part of every accomplishment & heartbreak. I would take on a mission as Fairy Godmother’s agent anyday! I could read a 100 of these types of stories & still not get enough.
