The Emperor, along with his remaining pitiful generals and the former Chancellor who had assumed the position after Bahamut's departure, were celebrating the dragon's absence, believing that they now had complete authority over the land. However, their jubilation was short-lived, as a torrent of black flames poured down upon the palace. The intense heat melted the entire castle, including the gold roof, engulfing the Emperor and his followers in molten gold, along with the women who had served them.

why would anyone want to rule Olympus.it and its people may be very beautiful but thats a lot of horrible people committing alot of horrible crimes. imagine the stress and headaches. not worth it

The way I saw it, I had two choices: Get stronger so that I can defend myself if need be or run away and fade into anonymity. There was no way in hell I was joining any faction. That would make trying to survive exponentially more difficult. I wasn't even all that familiar with the newly introduced world. I had watched the damn show thinking there was an actual plot. I didn't make it past the first episode in terms of actually paying attention. My focus was solely on the main female lead.
