« WAM book three ~ first draft » [ 16+ ] Sam and Ada are faced with an enormous task: how do you tell a young girl she's about to turn into a werewolf in three days? How do you tell her her parents aren't her own, that she would become a monster thanks to her biological father? How do you tell her her biological mother is dead? Sam is consumed by these questions and has little time to figure out the answers in time to help.
Ada, meanwhile, faces the looming threat of a mysterious other from the astral plane haunting her days, nights, and every moment in between. She finds her privacy invaded, obliterated, her mind an open book for a nosy creature she can't seem to shake off. Sleep, once her escape, becomes a moment of dread in her days.
Three tales, three girls fighting for understanding, and for a sense of normalcy torn away by the world of magic.

« WAM book two point five ~ rewriting » [ 16+ ] A lifetime of training, routines, rituals, all thrown away. Ten of his elders, his own parents, telling him he's worthless, a disgrace. Aidan might have been able to live with that if not for the knowledge that his brother is a murderer because of him.
He's had years to get over this, but it never gets easier. Now all of a sudden Aidan is expected to put that behind him, pretend it never happened, and step up into the very role he had been forbidden. The disgraced former heir to the North American pack, now an alpha to a pack of nomads. What a cruel joke.
His life had been on hold for so long, he forgot how to move forward. After all the innocent lives he had seen ruined in the wake of his poor decision making, how could he simply move forward? He had seen for himself just how volatile their kind could be.
Every week, he sits beside temptation, and every week he balks at the thought of what could happen to her if just one thing went wrong.

Wren was the best in the business. Nothing was safe from her light fingers. Rest assured, though, most couldn't afford her services, so most were safe. For a pretty penny, Wren could be hired to lift just about anything, there was very little she wouldn't touch. Drugs and heavy objects, mostly. If it could be tucked into her pouch or under her arm, she would do it.
At every turn, though, she found herself face-to-face with the obnoxious, self-righteous Cloud. A reformed thief, Cloud used her skills to counter folks like Wren. As soon as a corporation got word that their secrets were at risk, they would hire Cloud, and Wren would have to put on a show to get past her.
Colour Wren surprised when she showed up to a meeting for a new job, only to find Cloud waiting in the office already. She wants nothing more than to leave, but the payout was too good, and the risks too great to say no to. Even if it meant working with Cloud for the greater good.
[ 18+ ] Raven never believed in magic, or luck, or anything of the sort. She was a career-focused, down-to-earth woman of the firm belief that there was a scientific reason for everything. She busted her ass at work to be the best nurse she could be for all her patients.
That said, Raven always had her eye out for opportunities. So when she found a listing for a private research facility in search of an experienced nurse, she immediately threw her application into the pile and thought nothing of it. Imagine her surprise when they called her up with a job offer.
The facility was government-funded and sprawling. She arrived at the facility with no expectations, as she could barely fathom what her day-to-day would look like. At first, her new job was easy. She was essentially a school nurse, but for overworked scientists and bureaucrats. The lustre of a new career quickly faded.
Then the promotion came, and Raven found herself with a level two access card which let her into most places within the facility, including the forbidden lower levels. Nothing could have prepared her for what she was to do.
The facility was teeming with captive fey. At first, she tried her best to ignore the reality of it, but it could only last for so long. All attempts at maintaining normalcy were thrown out the window when she witnessed her first banshee. Even trapped behind soundproof glass, she could hear its wails for freedom, for murder.
Then, her whole world turned upside-down when she was assigned to tend the wounds of a faerie known as Amethyst. She was an elegant faerie with stunning violet wings as delicate as spun sugar. She hung from her restraints, oozing black blood from numerous wounds. Raven was convinced. Nevison Corp had to be stopped. No matter how bad the fey were, they couldn't possibly be worse than their captors.

«WAM book two - first draft, rewriting» [ 16+ ] Ada was tired of running. Yes, she was the one with the lockpicks who helped Sam the winter prior with her little key issue. It's one of the many bizarre, frankly illegal things she's good at. It would take a long time to explain it all, but suffice it to say she helped Charles and Jocelyn, twins six years her senior, steal a lot of shit. She grew tired of it, though, and after some planning with Detective Hillebrandt, she gave her siblings a tip and made sure there was tangible evidence on the two for a search warrant to be executed the following morning to uncover. It was supposed to be in the bag. She did everything right. Some clerical error led to the warrant being thrown out before it even reached court, along with the entire case. Charles and Jocelyn walked, but Ada was already running by then.
So, it's back to square one. She's up to her eyeballs in werewolf politics, trying to be the perfect girlfriend while planning the biggest heist of her life in a last ditch effort to put her greedy siblings behind bars, for good this time.

«WAM book one» [ 16+ ] If you ask Sam, she'd say she's a monster. A nice monster, but no less dangerous. She thinks the same of her own friends, so close they're nearly family.
She didn't ask for this life, it was forced upon her one frigid winter evening. As it turned out, she owed her life to a pair of curious children, smart enough to shout for help as Sam lie beneath the beast, drenched in her own blood. She didn't ask for it, but it's hers nonetheless. So she embraces her inner monster and uses it to hunt down the very one that turned her. To bring him in safely or to end him war in her mind. She longs for vengeance, but can't hurt his brother.
In all this chaos, Sam has one rock, in Ada. An enigma, or as her best friend, Charlotte, put it once, a cryptid; Ada knocks her off her feet and then keeps her tantalizingly close to the truth of her cagey history.
If not for Ada, the drive to bring down her attacker would be all consuming. She would like to think she's better than murder, but is she really?
