Wait so what exactly are the current technological advancements in this world? If this is really the middle ages, it's incredible to just skip at least 200 years of development. The Steam Engine was invented in 1712 by Thomas Newcomen, and the span of time that the middle ages occupy is from 500-1500. There is something clearly not working out here, have I misunderstood something?
