In Naruto or other stories, the characters are dumb, and only manage to survive because of plot armours and such things. I knew that I would not benefit from that the moment I realized my system was incomplete. There was no shortcut to strength besides training and completing missions, and adding to that, I had no bloodlines, which was a pretty important factor to strength in this world.

Now, back to why shurikens deal so little damage, well shuriken are not arrows, and deal less damage. You would not die from getting shuriken, but from the bleeding, which I encompassed in this. If you are beheaded, you would die, regardless of gamer or not. Hope I made that clear =)
