The Fallen Castle" is episode 310 of the Naruto: Shippūden anime. The Fallen Castle Main article: The Fallen Castle Later, in the anime, Sasori and Deidara met with Hidan and Kakuzu to discuss their new missions. It was decided that Sasori and Deidara would take the war mission. The duo then went to the Land of This, a small nation, with the intent of destroying it to spread the reputation of the Akatsuki. After Deidara handled the initial attack with a series of explosions, Sasori unleashed his army of puppets. During the attack, Sasori personally went after and killed the daimyō. After doing so, he was confronted by the late daimyō's retainer Tatewaki. While the samurai managed to pressure Sasori, he was ultimately poisoned by several of Sasori's poisoned senbon. By dusk, the nation was destroyed, making Sasori and Deidara's mission a success.
Moments later, a puppet massacre started. Sasori's puppet army might look imposing, but it clearly favored quantity over quality. This, and the fact that Sasori couldn't fine-control them, made them pretty easy picking. But, Sasori was constantly taking out more puppets to keep the number at 100, turning this into a battle of attrition.
