How is the MC weak or above average if he is the best of his age? I think you want a 16 year old boy to already be able to face enemies with years of experience with less than 5 months of experience in the world, when he is able to face people 2 years older with ease. And a work of cultivation, there is no way the MC is already overpowered facing people above his level class with ease, but facing his peers much higher in combat levels.

There are several novels/mangas where the protagonist is an illegitimate son or the son of a second/third wife, and we see the problems that his father's harem caused in his life, and this same protagonist creates a harem. And the worst harem is with works where the female characters are capable or strong, how do they accept being replaced by another woman? If even brothers from the same mother betray their brother, imagine a brother from only the father's side.
