Whats up with the time measurement? Using a 24 hour clock & also AM & PM looks a bit strange unless the world got more than 24 hours in a day.

Only ever seen sleeping bags designed for short term compression while on the move. Long term storage while compressed usually damage the insulating ability.

Thats a different take on quantum FTL Communication tech. Usually they go with the quantum entanglement of two or more separated objects? particles? that change to the same state as its twin so you can send binary code through them, you get the idea.

Anything capable of making that trench would also obliterate most if not all earths civilizations. The Tsunami of that amount of displaced material alone would probably be massive beyond belief.
