I love doing that. Gives the meat a good smokey flavor. Not what I'd do for high quality cuts, but for most meats it's really good.

And for the record, I didn't even season it… I just literally stuck a knife into the meat and grilled it over the fire just to see the results of it…

I doubt it. She's probably talking about NxRA/NERA, which isn't explosive. Personally I find it wild that there's space ships and shields in this universe but not bulletproof armor. And it's not like you can just say but future guns are super strong when a normal person can fire a rifle on full auto without blowing their arm out of socket. A bullet only uses kinetic energy, and all the energy the bullet has is also pushed as recoil into the person firing it. So these rifles people are firing at each other are at best only marginally more powerful than current modern day assault rifles. I mean, even the power armor is wack. People can make similar strength stuff in their garages and post it to YouTube currently. Tera has a slug gun that can penetrate power armor, yet isn't blown back off her feet when she fires. This means the energy imparted into the round will not be higher than a current 20mm anti-tank rifle. The best of which can only penetrate 40mm of Rolled Homogenous Armor. RHA is steel armor, and became outdated after WWII, but it is what all penetration is measured up against. So for the power armor to get penetrated that means it has either thin enough plating that a strong person doesn't even need power and can just run in it like medieval armor, or is so low tech that current day basic hydraulics can move around the under 45mm of plate. Sorry not sorry for the rant.

"That's because the drones themselves are rather fragile and could easily be destroyed if someone were to attack them," Ries explained while tapping the side of her cheek. "Although… If I were to get some reactive armour plating and some shields… I could change that too."

Oh yeah, that drying rack with a door that came pre-installed in my house.

Yep, no more washing plates by hand! That's one of the things I absolutely did not mind being changed in the kitchen!

I own a lot of relatively niche cooking things for prep. The amount of time they save is probably evened out on the back end with the extra washing I have to do, but then it's nice to not ever have improperly done ingredients. It's annoying to have slightly overcooked or undercooked vegetables because one chunk was too big and another too small. Kinda ruins a bite when you taste it. In my opinion always having your ingredients turn out the same every time makes you better at cooking for yourself. You learn how to cook what your prep tools make through sheer experience if nothing else.

But hey, at least it's just the ingredients prepping that I'm making use of these machines! Not like I was pushing in the organic food through a conveyor belt and then just tapping on the dish I want it to make before waiting at the other end!

Probably he doesn't, but there are tons of examples in war and that's the general consensus. Although if supersonic buckshot is going through your eye, it's also entering your brain. The skull isn't exactly known for having bone there to block stuff. In fact, there's a decent chance it's entering through the socket, and then bouncing off the back of your cranium and through your brain extra times. Small caliber pistol rounds are known to do that as well.

Looks like it wasn't enough to kill him but it did manage to take out his eyes.

I've heard Americans say they don't run out of ammunition, they run out of targets.

Apparently that's also one of the things that humans manage to streamline and enhance to the point that factories were literally churning them out every second in order to be used for war.

Ventilation ducts in large buildings are large enough to fit a person, but aren't strong enough to hold a person's weight. They're metal, but barely better than tinfoil. Even ducting for houses with a single air handler usually is large enough to squeeze into, but at that point you're looking at soft ductwork, not rigid like you see in movies.

Ah… So it's an alternate universe thing here… Unless the movies I watched were all faking this…

The spear should be one of the first weapons ever in existence being at its crudest form merely a pointy stick. It's probably only beaten by things like rock, not pointy stick (aka club), or possibly sharp rock (knife).

While the spear may have existed for many thousands of years, very few people actually mastered the spear during the Primordial Era, and compared to swords' popularity and vast knowledge, it was almost nonexistent, hence why the disciples were surprised to see Xi Meili's weapon.
