Keep improving his healing magic. A healer is someone that other people will always want. Want them to be safe, to be on their side, to be close to them. So, as far as most secure career paths, that's probably it. Mainly, keep improving his healing. If he gets good enough at it he could possibly start healing folks like Viktor did before he went cuckoo.
He will receive one or two more powers during the time skip if anyone wants to make suggestions on that.
