that's some nuanced characterization. may not be the hotblooded response most people expect or want but Jake felt very authentic there as a child who was a victim of abuse.
liking the story so far. it has a good pace to it. could work with the dialogue a bit as Noah doesn't sound exactly like Freshman in highschool. its a minor thing.
