He can move between both worlds and takes advantage of the magic world to cultivate as the cultivation world is nearing its end with barely any Qi in the atmosphere due to cultivators. I like the fact that the protagonist is both a cultivator and mage and how cultivating aides his magic abilities. What I don't like is the fact that the author went the route of Eastern Cultivation superior to Western Cultivation. However, it's not full on nationalism or anything as he also states the the cultivation world is behind the magic world in tech as the mages can invade other planes whereas the cultivators are stuck on a dying world.
