The day passed faster than Bel wanted, and soon enough, it was the next day. Dinner had been uneventful. Davien was back to normal, and Bel could say she had been less tempted to insult him. He hadn't lingered long after dinner; he had claimed he wanted her to get enough sleep. It was hard not to think he had been mocking her when he said this.
Bel sat up in her bed and stretched out her arms, letting out a satisfied sigh. It had taken a while, but she had managed to fall asleep. It felt good to know that Davien didn't have enough of an effect on her to keep her awake. She had just needed time to get used to the bed. It wasn't the best sleep but it was definitely better than nothing.
