Author's Note- Yo, this is my first time ever writing anything. I both work and go to college so definitely don't expect frequent updates. This is something I decided to write because I had the free time and couldn't get it out of my head. This is mostly an info dump chapter but I hope you enjoy it.

With an intake of air a young man quickly sits up and looks around in confusion. The more he looks around the more confused he gets, not recognizing where he is.
The room looks like a stereotypical teenagers room. Unorganized, crap ton of posters, lots of the color green and some dirty clothes on the ground. Conveniently enough there's also a full body mirror, whoever owns this room is either vain or cares about their looks greatly. Looking in the mirror only causes the young man more confusion, because the face staring back at him isn't the 20 year old ginger he's used to seeing.
Instead what stares back at him is an older teen, if he had to take an educated guess he would say around 16-17 years old. Some of the darkest black hair he has ever seen, and vibrant green eyes, in fact the most beautiful eyes he has ever seen. It took immense will power to look away from the eyes(His eyes?) staring back at him. Looking at the table beside the bed he's sitting on he sees some jet black circular sunglasses that causes a spark to fly through his mind.
"I look like a recolored Gojo Satoru." The young man says with a realization. He decides to put the sunglasses on to be cautious, not only to make it where he won't get lost in those eyes again but just in case he has the six eyes, he's already confused enough, he doesn't need to throw a migraine in that mix.
"I know you are extremely disoriented right now, but you really should work on your situational awareness." With a freight the young man looked to his right, seeing a guy with black hair, red eyes, and around the age of 25 going by appearances. But looking into those blood red eyes of his that seemed to glow he couldn't help but think he was older than he could ever imagine.
"You would be right about that. Yes I can read your mind, however I'll do you and me the favor of not doing that going forward." The man, no being, because this person is no mere man.
"I have plenty of names, Mourningstar, Anguished One, even at one time Justin. Although I've long since shed that mortal name. For simplicity sake you can call me you can call me Mourn." The being named Mourn said.
The young man sighed, before opening his mouth to speak. Suddenly before even getting one syllable out he snapped it shut, looking even more confused and even a little scared. "I can't remember my name..." The young man horrifically realized.
"Ahhh, yes. That would be the price your soul paid for cross multiversal travel. I could have chose something else like some of your memories, but you're someone that believes the memories make the person. Plus by giving you a name of my choosing I was able to give you a few additional benefits." Mourn said with a slight smirk.
"And what benefits would that entail?" Some curiosity could be heard in the young mans voice.
"Well first we got to dive into your name, Nova Aaron Tennyson. Nova is derived from the word Novus in Latin meaning new, a nova is also a star, which I happen to have a good amount of control over. So by naming you after a star, I was about to give you some of my essence, making you have a limitless potential. Eventually, and by that I mean a very long time, you could reach the power of me and beings like me. Aaron is a Hebrew name, but I mainly used the meaning of Exalted in that name. Giving you a higher talent in everything, plus when creating your body I gave you the peak of human kind in everything except your eyes. Exalted is a synonym of Enlightened, so I took some liberties and made your eyes a little special. Not six eyes special, but your eyes are definitely above peak human. Essentially if human vision was a 1 you see in a 5, and your visual reaction time is above any humans could ever be, even freaks of nature like Batman." Mourn said without taking a single breath in between.
"And what about the Tennyson? Just a Ben 10 reference since it was my childhood show, or does it have some type of advantage?" The young man, now named Nova, inquired.
"Now that's the interesting one, instead of making a change to you I was able to link an item to your soul using that name. If you weren't so disoriented and confused, and now laser focused on what I am saying, you would have noticed the unique watch on your wrist." If early Mourn had a small smirk, he now has a full blown shit eating smirk on his face.
Lifting his hand so fast some would think he pulled it out of his socket, Nova took a look at the watch on his right wrist, he's ambidextrous so he could have it on either or but he prefers it on his right. The style is most similar to the Recalibrated watch in Alien Force but it's all black, albeit different shades of it, except for the glowing green hourglass symbol on the face plate. "If you were a woman I would give you my love for all of eternity, but since you are a dude I will give you my respect." (Image in paragraph comment)
"Flattering." Mourn said with a scoff. "I took the liberty of loading your 10 aliens onto it, choosing from your favorites while also not making you overpowered too early. And it has a stealth mode so when you are not wanting to be seen the holograms won't pop up and will instead show up on the faceplate like the precalibrated watch, while also dimming the glow. That bad boy has a lot of extra features, and bug fixes, compared to the OG and Perfected one. I won't tell you what they are, you'll have to figure it out yourself. But you won't have to worry about it being turned against you, stolen, or broken. I've bound that thing to you so well that I couldn't take it back from you if I wanted to. Even in the event of your death, that thing would cease to exist alongside you."
While listening to Mourn, Nova scrolled through his 10 aliens. Big Chill, Grey Matter, Diamond Head, XLR8, Four Arms, Upgrade, Rath, Swampfire, Water Hazard, and Jet Ray. "Versatility is pretty nice with this roster, got a lot of stuff covered with it."
"Yeah, versatility is one of the best things about the Omnitrix. By the way, I'll tell you about this neat feature as a little bonus. The more you are transformed into an alien the more your base form will adopt one of it's main qualities. It won't turn you into a monster, like you won't grow four arms or suddenly spawn a litter of Necrofriggians(Big Chill's race). Instead it'll increase your stats, or skills, for lack of better term. For instance Grey Matter will make your intelligence raise the more you're transformed into him, Upgrade will make you better at technology, Four Arms will make you stronger and/or more durable, stuff like that. The more special ones like Swampfire will increase your regeneration." Mourn decided to tell him one of the passive effects, since there's no bonus to knowing or not other than maybe using a certain alien more in his free time.
"I'm gonna assume I'm in a dangerous world if you're going out of your way to give me bonus like this." Nova was a little nervous to know which world he's in, but he's confident with a weapon like this he'll do well.
"Yup." Mourn popped the p. "You're in an altered Young Justice/DCAU, expect some cameos/crossovers. By the way, the only way to even get close to the level me and others are on you must have a bit of ruthlessness to you, you can't be a Batman and pull that no killing bullshit."
"People like the Joker deserve to die so I got no problem with that, plus I'm more neutral than good. I have the capabilities of doing evil and good if I had to put it in layman terms." Nova wasn't ashamed to admit he's not the most moral of people.
"Good, well enjoy your life. P.s. you are a family friend to the West's (Wally, Iris, etc.), your family is dead, you live in the house beside the West's, and you are an amnesiac who recently lost his whole family in a car. You live alone, but the West's frequently check up on you. I'd recommend you go to sleep, you need to adapt to your body still. See ya, hopefully whenever you reach my level of power." With a blink of the eye Mourn disappeared.
"Well, that happened." Nova took one more look around the room before deciding to take Mourn's advice and going to sleep.
