"Then can I come along with you?" she asked taking me by surprise. I thought very carefully before replying. "If you want to come then I don't mind to take you along with me". Her whole face lit up hearing me. "Really?" she asked in excitement. "Yeah. But I need to leave as soon as possible, so will it be possible for you to come with me? I mean don't you need some preparation?" I said as we walked our way back to my car.
"Not really. I've my laptop and phone with me. And the other things that I'll need... I guess I'll buy them. And by the way don't think that I want to tag along because I doubt you. It's just that..." she paused and took a deep breath and then continued, "I always wanted to study in Harvard. But it's too expensive and I didn't even received the scholarship so I couldn't read there. But I always wanted to visit it. I thought I would get a chance to visit there during our tours but you know we don't compete with them. So.....Also if I go with you I will be able to attend lecture. And that's why I...."she said looking at me from the corner of her eyes.
"Oh I see. It's alright I don't mind. And I would be gald to have you with me" I said with a smile . "By the way as your fiance I'll get some previlages right?" she asked mischievously. "Ok, no problem", I said taking out my phone. "Excuse me, I need to make a call", I said to her as I called Alex, my secretary, "Alex, come and pick up my car".
"By the way isn't it too late? I mean you must have already brought your ticket, and at this moment I don't think that there is any ticket available. So, how am I going to go with you?" She asked with concern as we drove our way to the airport. "Umm.... You don't worry. I don't travel by local planes anyway", "You don't travel by local planes? Then what do you travel by?" she asked in confusion. "You'll know soon", I said to her with a mysterious smile.
"A private jet??" She said in surprise as she saw our ride. "Let's get inside", I held out my hand for her to walk on the stairs along with me. It's really late at night and even with all the lights around here I'm afraid that she might get hurt. No, I'm kidding, I just want to hold her hand. "Are you very rich?" She asked as we walked inside the jet. "Not bad. But why do you ask?" I asked in confusion. "Listen even if you are rich, you still shouldn't ride private jets. They cost just too much".
"Oh, you don't need to worry about that. Because in here it's not me who is rich, it's our club. And seems like just how I didn't know that we had a driver, in the same way you also didn't know that we had private jets to fly us from here to there", I said after a lot of consideration on how to make her believe.
"What? Does this belong to the club? Can all of us use it?" she asked in wonder as she took her seat infront of me. "Of course", I lied. Because I had to lie, I don't think she is ready yet to know all about me. "Wow that's awesome...!!! And do we need to pay for the ride?" "No". "Can we fly anywhere in it?" "Your motherland?? possible!!" I replied after realizing that this might be the reason why she asked.
"I didn't ask it for that", she said rolling her eyes. "Oh right Lam, can you give me a list of all the things that you will need", I asked her. "What things?" she asked in confusion. "Daily necessities", I replied with a smile because of her foolishness. "Oh, you don't need to worry about that. I have this... I'll take care of my things", she said with a smile showing off her MasterCard.
"Did you get it recently?" "Yeah, I had applied 2 months ago and I got it around 3 weeks ago. And guess what, I've applied for a platinum card. It's still under process though", she said with a shrug. "Why platinum?" "Ohh.... All the girls have diamond card but I'm the only one with a regular one. So for now I've applied for a platinum one. After the internationals I'll apply for a diamond", she told me about all her plans very easily.
"Oh by the way don't you have class tomorrow?" I asked her. "I had but Mr. Steve has cancelled it. So no, I'm free tomorrow. And I never had class on Friday ever since I joined D.T." She said with smirk. "That's good. Cause we'll be returning on Monday. I mean we'll leave on Sunday, probably around the same time now", I said looking at my watch. "Why Sunday? Don't you always return on Friday?" she asked with a frown.
"Yeah. But thanks to your professor Steve that I'll have to stay longer," I said rolling my eyes. "What does he has to do with it?", she asked curiously. "I've to attend a seminar with him on Sunday", I explained. "Oh it must be that seminar he had talked about earlier in the class today", she said nodding her head in agreement.
"Well, we didn't have dinner earlier so do you want to have it now?" I asked her. "Nah, it's too late. I don't want to have anything right now", she said gesturing no. "I know it's late. But still you need to have dinner. Otherwise what if you get gastic attack?" I said looking at her. "How do you know about it?" she asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes.
"Well I had texted B that we are going on a tour together. So he gave me a list of things that I need to careful about. And making sure that you have your foods three times a day, was one of them", I said with a smirk. "Can I see the list?" she asked. "No, it's personal". "Please", she said with puppy eyes, trying to change my mind. But I didn't fall for that. After that I called Brian, the air hoster of this jet, to come with the food menu. "Brain give her the menu. Let her choose what she wants. I'll take the usual". He handed Lam the menu. She looked at that for a while before reaching to a decision.
